Any diet suggestions?

Hello, It has been some time since I have been on this forum and I am ashamed of that. I have just wirlwinded out of control and have been in a rutt for a while now.

I had a baby 16 months ago and gained 40lbs. After I delivered her, I dropped 15lbs right away and could never get the other 25lbs off. Of course, that 25 lbs is almost up to the 40lbs again. I have done everything possible. I have done all protein again, i got a gym membership, I even tried very strong diet pills, that have worked for every single other person I know, who took them. It's like my metabolism has just shut down and no matter what I do, not even a pound will come off.

I am growing out of all my bigger sized clothes, I am breathing heavier, I hate to look in the mirror and I feel like I am Obese again. I just don't know where to turn now. Has anyone had any luck with weigh****chers or nutrisystem? Something like that? Are they any good for someone that has had RNY? Any other suggestions?

I have thought about getting some other kind of surgery, but I don't know if I want to go that way, plus my insurance sucks now! I want to be healthy for my daughter!! I will try ANYTHING!!!  Please help me!

Thank you

Philippa

I've started eating Snicker's Marathon Protein bars as a meal replacement once or twice a day.  28 grams of protein and big enough to fill me up and keep me full for hours.  Also upped my liquid intake.  I"ve been losing again. At least you got a baby out of your weight gain!!  I just got heavier.

Hello, your story is just the reason i signed on tonight.  I lost 130 pounds from my rny 3 years ago.  i have gained back 30. i feel heavier than i was at 300 pounds.  i cant seem to get a hold of myself and buckle down and diet.  i tell myself i am gonna go to the gym , and gonna cut out carbs etc.  i cant seem to get  my mount to agree with my brain.  i have not tried any diet pills or weigh****chers but need to do something. i was thinking about trying the protein shakes for a week to get myself back on track, but i know how gross and disgusting they were.  but i need a jump start bad.  Jamie

I've lost weight either by eating ONE thing every hour or two and don't sit down to a 'meal' and don't get full OR if I want to lose weight quickly, I eat ONLY protein and low carb veggies every hour and the weight comes off pretty easily.

I see you had Dr. Crum as your doctor!  He is now in my hometown 52 miles from me.  Did you like him and would you recommend him to others?  Why did he leave there or do you know?  He won't let anyone come to his meetings that didn't have surgery with him so I can't join his support group here and it's the only one around...pretty sad!

Good luck and be blessed!
