New Procedure for Those That MESSED UP FIRST TIME OUT
I'll have been 2 years post op this Nov 2007. I didn't do what I was supposed to do. I watched friends of mine who had the procedure, didn't exercise and eat right and just assumed that it would work out for me. Well, what's good for the goose isn't always good for the gander, it would seem.
However, after going back to my surgeon and being brutally honest and admitting what I did (and DIDN'T do), he told me there was a second, second chance to get it right.
He was performing a new procedure called an EGD with sclerotherapy on patients. I had it done this past Friday and am doing EVERYTHING he told me to do. I'm down 11 pounds since Friday (today is Wednesday) and I KNOW that this is how it was supposed to be the first time!
I'm astonished by the complete and total LACK of hunger I feel. And I'm using this time to jus****ch myself and see all of the mindless eating I would have done or have been doing had I not had this procedure done last week.
For those of you who may have screwed up like I did, there is hope. Talk to your doctors. PRAY. BE BLESSED

There is a doctor in Ocala Fl, Dr. W. Todd Overcash, MD, who does something called a Stomaphyyx. He is was at the OH conference in Atlanta recently. I was impressed with him and may look into the revision in the future. He operates at the Munroe Regional Medical Center, a Center of Excellence, in bariatraic surgery.

I do not know anymore about it than what they told us at the conference. This doctor has done about 30, so I would like to see him do more before I go that route. The company that makes the device that is used says other hospitals will be doing it in the future. You might have your husband to check it out. I think I remember that he is a pharmaist. Good luck to you, too. I am driving myself crazy trying to keep my weight down.
