Monday Do Righters - Where are ya?

Where's our awesome Do righters today???  I sooooo need ya'll!!!  I'm having an aweful, terrible, horrible, no good day (kind of like the kids' book). And I'm REALLY fighting hard not to turn my anger and frustration out on food   Chompy Caution: The following is the RANT of a real live Christian woman. Just goes to show that Christians aren't perfect - just forgiven I need a specific kind of Bible for class this week, so dh and I went looking for one. Well, there's a WIDE range of prices when buying a Bible. The one that I "wanted" was $69 which is a good price but too much for me to pay right now. (the one at school was $129 and THAT was TOO much) DH kept pushing me to just buy it, just buy it. I looked for a cheaper alternative but there really is none that will hold up to the severe usage that this Bible is going to get. (I'm in Bible college - duh, better use it a LOT) lol  So, he was sooooo frustrating me! I grabbed a totally al'cheap-o Bible that probably wont last a month, cuz it was only $7.00! He kept saying that he wanted me to get the one I wanted and that I had to stop setteling for less then what I really want..... (a lot of REALLY bad thoughts came to mind at this point) I told him, "well, I really want a new car, but I seriously doubt that I can just go to the car lot, pick it out, and drive it home if I don't have the money to pay for it."  Anyway, I'm ticked off. This is a repeat offense here (happend on a larger ticket item just two weeks ago) He just doesnt bother to find out if we have the money to buy things - then he takes it out on me when I step in and say 'we can't afford it'!!  He's just sticks his head in the sand when it comes to finances or anything that is a relationship issue - totally ignores it!!!  Ostrich  I think I'm gonna serve him a bowl of sand for dinner. When he asks what this is, I'll tell him, "You head is in the sand so much I figured you must like the taste of it"  Oh - Thank GOD there are do twinkies or ding dongs in the house today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DUDLEY DO RIGHT TO THE RESCUE!!!!   Well, more like PiggyDoRight!!! LOL Oh honey, I'm sooooooooo sorry you're having such a crummy day. Sounds like your husband is acting JUST LIKE a man!!! I know it's not funny, but it is ALL too common!!!  (Any guys that are reading this, sorry, but you KNOW it's true!!)  So often they are clueless about financial issues! I too am REALLY glad that you don't have twinkies or ding dongs in the house!!! We both know that they would not help, but boy would they "distract" you for a moment or two!!! Bless your heart. I'm not going to give you some "platitude" because I'm sure that you already know ALL the platitudes there are!!! I'm also not going to quote scripture to you right now because I am also SURE that you know plenty of scriptures. I am just going to say "bless your heart" and  I am going to pray that things get better for you soon. Good for you for turning to the boards for support rather than the cupboard. Sorry  I was not hear for you earlier. I've been swamped at work. But I'm here now and I'm saying Hold ON!!!!  You can make it!!!!!!! Hugs, hugs, hugs,      Piggybabe

Thanks Piggybabe!!!!!  I got the kids' dinner made (mac and cheese w/ hot dogs) eeeewwww, but they love it. My dd with the ouchie foot gets to pick out dinner (I'm spoiling her rotten because of her foot)!!  No "foul" foods have touched these lips and I haven't gotten out the 2X4 or the rolling pin for dh either!!! LOL  This too WILL pass, and I'll get through it   -  I will probably take my SELF out to Panera Bread for a chicken salad tonight. I think that having dh home ALL the time for the past three weeks it starting to effect me as well! Time for a break   Hugs,

Hello!  Sorry you are having a BAD day.  But after reading your last post, you really had a good day!  With all your do rights that is.  Life is hard.  If it wouldn't be for money what would I crab about?  We never have enough it seems bu then again God has always provided when the need was there.  Maybe not how and when I wanted but He is always there for me!  I HAVE MISSED THE DO RIGHT GANG I need to get back on track again!!! Yup, God does always provide!!! I keep telling my kids, "we haven't starved to death yet" lol We've always had lights, water, etc.... Sometimes it is hard to seperate the "needs" from the "wants".  Added bonus note: Got a check in the mail today for $200 more then I thought I would.....hhhhmmm, Bible???? Maybe!!!!  Thanks for the encouragement!!!  HUGS

Well, I stayed on track, ate like I should in spite of a stressful day on the phone between doctor's office and insurance company and a problem at the local pharmacy. I wasn't as pleasant as I  should of been but I didn't use food for comfort.  I did scrub the bathroom floor by hand and do some other cleaning. Was moving like a mad woman. Hope I don't reqret it tomorrow. My body may be lighter but is still getting older.    Take care all Sher
