Hi Renee! I'm sooo sorry I haven't been on the boards...We had a bad scare over the summer. My oldest son Matt 25 yrs. old, was Tboned by a pickup truck (four way corner with corn on each side). He had some bleeding in his brain and some sheering.  As of the end of August he was back to work, still struggling with headaches, body pain, etc. but is recovering with PT. He is/WAS a professional soccer player and had just returned from an international soccer tourney in Croatia. At any rate, his soccer career is over. We are so blessed he is going to make a recovery. He is an Internal Auditor full time so it won't interfere with his job but he's quite upset over the soccer ending as is understandable.  At any rate, I was on the "my kid almost died" diet and am back in a baggy size 10. As you can imagine, the first week of this traumatic episode reset my pouch. No doubt about that! I'm back to eating as if I were about two months out of surgery. I also started riding a new recumbent bike I got (schwinn model 203) and I love it. I'm up to riding 45 minutes now. I slacked off during and after my son's accident as we were taking care of him most days. He lives 2 hours north of us. BUT, I'm back, things have quieted down, and I'm back to riding. I'm stiff and sore most days from my Lupus and Fibromyalgia but I'm sure that is partially due to the tremendous stress. Thank you SO much for asking after me. I miss the members here and will try my best to get back in the swing of things with the community also! All my best, Laurie

Hello my sugar buster friend, I am sooo sorry to hear about your son and will be praying for him to cont. healing and hope someday soon he will be back playing soccer just as good if not better then before.  I was wondering what was going on as we posted for awhile. I am glad you lost the weight, but what a terrible way to have to lose it.  Well I am glad you can now start to relax a little now and your working out, good for you. take care and hope to hear from you soon.  Renee (hotwheel-queen)
