Hi Scott glad to meet you. WellI had a chance to check out your profile and you have done fantasic. Congratulations on that.. Now for the meals. I admittedly dont know much about DS so i will asume that it allows you to eat differently than I do. You seem to drink a lot of soda and it has a lot of sodium in it. If you stopped drinking so much of that you would probably drop another ten pounds. Sounds like you did good getting your protein in. Have you ever though of monitoring your intake on sparkpeople or fit day to allow you to know how many calories as well as nutrishional amounts that you are eating.

You have a great day and I will see you tomorrow.

The DS  does allow me to eat differently then a RNY person....I guess it's kind of apples and oranges in some ways.  I should mention that I'm not trying to lose any more weight at this point.  I'm 6'1'' and 197 lbs, I've lost almost 300 lbs (and hit my personal goal), and have a significant amount of excess skin.  I've been to several plastic surgeons and when I go for a LBL i should have about 20 to 25 lbs of excess skin removed.   One plastic surgeon told me 20 lbs ago not to lose any more weight, because it's an unfortante fact of post bariatric surgery, that we lose weight unevenly, and it would come out of my face and make me look drawn.    That medical opinion, plus the "don't lose any more weight comments, plus the fact that i can see my ribs...have lead me to believe I shouldn't at this time go down any further....although My ultimate goal is to be below 190, I think I'll have to wait until I'm post plastics.  With that said, I've been eating a higher amount of carbs .....if I dropped my carbs even slightly I'd start losing again....and even at 19 month it can be rapid.   During the weight loss window, I ate lower carb, and high protein, and high fat (DSers malabsorb a lot of fat) I normally don't drink as much soda as I did yesterday, I'm more of a water person.....I have been since I was a preop.  I normally try to get in at least 150 oz of water per day. Dehydration, even slight dehydration slows down your metabolism and makes your skin look dull.    But even with all that soda, I still was able to get in about 100 oz of water. Scott

Great day there Capitan!!!!!  You should be proud.  I had a good food day to. I stayed home from church with my daughter. She got 6 outside stitches and i dont know how many inside for sure on her foot. Poor girl, funny thing is she took her shoes and socks off because they were playing soccer and her shoe was rubbing and she didn't want to get a blister. anyway, the T3's that shes on work well, and shes out of pain, very loopy and quite funny. She'll get her stitches out next week the day before her 12th birthday.  b - oatmeal s - protein drink l - potato soup and small salad (not enough protein in this meal. My day was good, really high on carbs, but what is a movie without popcorn???? Actually, the popcorn was the best part of the movie(Dragon Wars, big thumbs down on it)..then the PMS monster hit with the cheesecake...but it was GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDD.  It has been gorgeous here over the weekend and I've had the windows open(I LOVE fresh air in the house!).  I'm sure it won't last, but I'm gonna take advantage while I can...My youngest is on her 3 week break so I think we're going to hit the aquarium this week or next...Have a great day everyone! Yes a very good day for you. I understand the movie thing.. I know popcorn is a no no but I love the stuff. I will only take a couple of bites but man is it good. Cheesecake yum yum.. i make a sf one that is so good. Sugar is not my friend but thats ok.

I hope you have a great time on the break with your youngest. Are they on year round schedule.. two of mine are too.. the other 2 are traditional so scheduling vacations is kind of tough.

Have a great one and keep up the good work.. you're doing awesome....

Good Monday morning, Carla! Well, what didn't I eat yesterday is more like it!  Ha, ha!  I managed to get in a slice of pizza, a MexiMelt from Taco Bell, and some peanut M&Ms.  Oooopps!!!   Anyway, today is a new day ... I'm starting my new exercise regime that my fitness coach gave me.  I went to the store and got my B supplements and I'm well on my way into a good eating plan for the day.  Time to start over and be good!   I also cleaned out my closet and packed up all the clothes that are even slightly too baggy and I'm going to haul them to Goodwill.  No sense in keeping them around ... I want smaller sexier clothes!   It's a new day!  And I'm happy and excited to start my new exercise plan!  Woo hoo!  It's gonna be a good day! Deanna
