I am almost 4yrs post-op.  I was 330 pre-op and originally got down to 112.  That was way tooo little as I am 5'8.  I eventually gained up to 128 and was totally happy at that weight, however my surgeon was not.  His original goal for me was 175 and mine was 150.  Over the past year I have gained about 20# (145-150) and I am absolutely miserable.  My surgeon said he was ok with me shedding a few pounds as long as I didn't go below 130, but my body has got different ideas.  I can't see to get into gear.  I just found the plaeteu buster plan and I'm gonna give it a try, but I'm open to try anything at this point.  Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would start by thinking about why your so miserable where you are now. I'm 5'5" and 130 lbs. I wear a size 4. I wouldn't think it would be good for you to be that low of a weight. Do you have issues with seeing yourself 'bigger' then you are? Do you have health issues that need you to lose more weight? If you surgeon thinks you're at a good weight then I'd seriously consider what's going on inside of you that you're not happy with yourself.  Not trying to be mean or anything, but wls is all about healthy and that should be your goal not a number on the scale.

I'm sorry, this is probably considered a 'hijack' but I have to ask:  I'm also 5' 5" - I weigh 150, and  I wear size 14/16 !!  I have seen others post also who are around your size and mine and they say  they are wearing size 4's and 6's.  Where do you all shop???  This is making me crazy!        What am I doing wrong???   Sorry, but this is a huge mystery for me...

Well Dee, I'd be pretty frustrated if I were in your shoes. I shop a lot at JCPenny's, there sizes run pretty true. All the 4's at WalMart are too big on me and that the smallest size they offer w/o going to Junior and those are ridiculous (I dont' want butt crack showing) lol I have no explination for you. I was in a 4/6 before my TT and now am mostly in 4's although some 2's.

This is the diet that I found on the graduates board.  Hope it helps.

#1 - Do this diet for 10 days to break a plateau

#2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day

#3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day (some suggest at least 60 and up to 80 gr)

#4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day

beef

pork

chicken

turkey

lamb

fish

eggs

low fat cheese

cottage cheese

plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?)

peanut butter

beans/legumes

You may also have:

sugar free popsicles

tea or coffee (decaf only)

sugar free jello

broths/bullion (sp?)

crystal light drinks

#5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!!

#6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily

Full of Life: You can call it what you like, issue or whatever, but I DIDN'T GO THIS LIFE ALTERING EVENT TO GAIN THE WEIGHT BACK.  I don't like the way I look and I know what size I was when I was comfortable with myself overall.  Size 3 and 5, not the 7/8 that I am back up to now.  I don't mean to sound hateful, but I have gotten so many posts about how I should be grateful (which I am), but I am still human and my appearance means a lot to me and it affects me in many ways.

I think a lot depends on how you carry your weight.  Apples vs Pears.  Another thing is that 10-20 pounds didn't make a huge amount of difference when we were wearing a size 24.  But 10 pounds makes a big difference when you are in smaller sizes. Sorry I don't have a good answer for you, It's just what I've noticed.  I want to get down into those single digit sizes too, but I'm still in a 12 right now.  I'm 5'1" and I weigh about 170. Suzanne
