Darnell, All I can say to you is I get where you're coming from.  I had a VBG in 1990 that failed.  Notice, I didn't say, I failed, though I used to.  It was a great way to beat myself up.  As Scott said, if I had the willpower or ability to control my eating habits sufficiently to lose weight, I wouldn't need WLS.  So, if I'm able, I'm gonna get a revision to the DS.  My main reason is simple and relates to your motivation:  I can't abide having another major surgery, only to have it end up in regain and failure.  That by no means that RNY is a ticket to regain.  My understanding is that most do very well with it.  My thinking is, and it's only mine, that if you couldn't rock the mini-GP, what will be different with the RNY?  I needed a revision surgery that would assure the least odds of regain, no matter my own shortcomings around food intake, and that's hands down the DS. Whatever you decide to do, get all the information you can and then go for it.  We'll be here to support you in anything you decide.  Good luck.
