Hello All,

Well here it is 4 years later and although I have never reached my origanal goal I am still 120 pounds lighter than I was 4 years ago.   My life has changed a whole bunch in the last 4 years.  I am healthier and happier than I have been in my life.  I eat healthier now and can walk 5 miles a day(and do at least 4 times a week). I have been swimming and tubeing, which I wouldn't have done before surgery.  I also have rediscovered my first love.  We have know each other for 55yrs. Yep since we were 5, we went to kindergarten together and grew up in the same neighborhood.  He went off to the airforce when we were 18 and I didn't see him again until last summer. ( Oh by the way I was chasing him but never caught him.)  And now we are a couple.  I have been  a divorced single mom for 20 yrs. and he has been single for 7 yrs.   It has been my dream come true.  How many people reconnect with there first love?????? Any way thats the way my life is going now.  I don't come to this site as often as I use to but I still check in to see how people are doing.  So to everybody graduate or newbie and people in between good luck to you all and may your lifes be as happy as mine. Evie

Congratulations on your weight loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I know how it feels!  Isn't it wonderful the energy we have now?  I haven't walked 5 miles in a while but you inspired me again!  Thanks! Before I had my WLS I met a man who was a firefighter with the department I work for (I'm a 911 dispatcher), anyway we were friends (he didn't know I had a "thing" for him).  6 weeks after my WLS I moved to San Diego (from North Carolina) and we lost contact.  Well 2 1/2 years later I moved back to NC (came back to my old job) and looked him up.  We both worked for the same agency but he was out on medical leave.  I sent him a "get well" card, asked if he remembered me and said to give me a call if he wanted so we could catch up.  Well he called the day he got the card and we went out for coffee that night.  We've been together ever since (1 year and 4 months now).  He has since retired from the fire department but I'm still working here, I am so glad I took that step and sent him the card.  I can't wait to see what the future holds!   Congratulations again!!!
