what kind of protein do u do?
My doc insists that I get my protein from food, but says it is fine to drink them if I got in all my protein that day. So, I usually drink one at night when I am wanting to snack. I used to only drink the Isopure chocolate, vanilla, or cookies & cream flavors. The prices were just too high. One day I was in Wal-mart and saw some protein that they had and decided to try it (it was only about $13.00). I actually like it better. Now, that is all I buy. I don't remember the name. I know it has the word Whey on it and it is the chocolate flavor. It is the only kind of protein powder the Wal-mart here has. It is also very low in carbs.
Whether or not I can gt protein from food (I can't) is a moot point. I use the protein for appetite, volume and craving control, as well as meeting my basic needs. Althought I do 6 (30g each) per day, i have used as many as 9 (yes, 270g) to beat the carb monster when he had a tight grip on me.
Any of these are what I use:
1.) Champion ProScore 100 choco + 8 oz water + ice, blended (hand blender or Magic Bullet).
2.) Champion Pure Whey Stack choco + 6-8 oz water, shaken.
3.) IDS vanilla-cinnamon + "glop" of DaVinci sugar free caramel sauce + 8 oz water + ice, blended.
4.) the PWS chco + the van-cin (50/50) in about 10 oz ho****er, stirred or hand blender.
Lately I've been adding a shake of cinnamon to my hot ones since cinnamon fights belly fat.
I always put 1 scoop of UpCal D powder in (500mg calcium citrate, 250 IU of vit D3).
