Question
Hi Shannon,
I'm not sure about Low Carb, but I keep my Protein High by buying my Protein Mix on EBay. If you are interested, I'll give you the site to reach the person I buy from. It is considerably cheaper than I've found it anywhere else, and it's my very favorite protein mix. Sorry I don't have any other advice... I'll bet someone here does though, so just be patient. This is a FABULOUS support board and I'll bet some others will join in to help you!!

I don't have much problem getting the protien in.........it's the carbs that are killing me LOL. I don't know what I can do to keep them down other than staying away from the pasta.
I have had some bad experiences with Ebay and I'm not sure I want to go that route again.......

I guess I've been REALLY blessed. I've bought LOTS of things off of E-bay and only had two or three "bad" experiences that ended up turning out fine.
Sorry I can't give you any advice on carbs. I'm allergic to wheat, so I have NO problem staying away from carbs (except in fruit or candy--I LOVE CHOCOLATE ). I do know that the more carbs I eat, the more I crave, so I do try to mostly avoid them. I can eat corn, rice, and potatoes, but don't choose those things very often. If I do eat one of those it's usually only one or two bites after my protein and veggies!!
Best wishes in your "pursuit".

Well, I was going to give you a link to the website that I use, but it says that my Favorite Seller does not have any offers right now. Anyway, go to E-Bay and do a Search for "American Sports Nutrition"
hestockataol is the ID of the seller that I usually use. Check back several times this week to see if he is offering product as I have found that he always has the BEST prices and is very reliable.
I like the Banana the best, but currently have some chocolate (it's good) and tried the Peach during the summer. I liked it too. I usually have to add a little "equal" to mine because I like it very sweet. I usually also mix some powdered milk with mine because I don't like them made with jus****er.
It sounds like a lot of trouble, but it's really not. I just mix a bunch at one time and put individual servings in those little "snack baggies" and then they are portable. I keep a blender at work and mix one packet with about 1/2 cup of water and 10 ice cubes. If I'm not at work, I stop at one of the coffee shops or some other place that has a blender and ask them to blend it for me. They usually will!!! Hope this helps.

Eggs, nuts, peanut butter, cheeses (hard ones, careful of the soft ones), use large leaf lettuce instead of bread or tortilla wraps, eat a piece of real fruit vs. canned or dried, cottage cheese instead of fruited yogurt, get pre-cooked fajita meat strips to use at a moment's notice or buy a bulk pkg of chicken breast and pre-cook enough to have ready to throw together, use salsa as a condiment for certain things vs. bbq sauce (sugar).
Lots of ways to avoid carbs on a shoestring, the trick is the actual follow-through - something I'm still working on.
