Legina - PRAYERS/donations/cards

Hey everyone - This is being posted on the main board, MS board, plastic surgery board, vertical sleeve board, etc...so thought I would pass it on to everyone I could think of - This is a repost from Tammy from the MS board and VS board regarding LEGINA - just the sweetest lady that we have gotten to know from the boards.  She is in the hospital near me, so I visit with her and update her family.....well, just read the post regarding her.  As a better update, she has been weaned from the ventilator, but is still very sedated and has a LONG way to go still...... I posted this last week and you were still fresh out of surgery, I copied and pasted my earlier post.... I can't tell you how heartbroken I am. I just got home from visiting with LeGina (dixiedollface). I asked for prayers for her earlier today. She is in surgical ICU and they were unable to remove her from the ventilator today like they wanted to. They have tried several times over the last few days without success. To bring everyone up to date...LeGina is a super nice lady that I met on the Mississippi board. She is a very large lady that is unable to walk due to her size. She has been confined to her room for three years. That is when her husband left her. She was admitted to the hospital a few weeks ago to have surgery to remove a large 134 pannus, (tummy skin) so that she may be able to walk. She is trying very hard to get to a weight to where it is safe for her to have WLS. She has worked really hard to loose weight on her own too. She made it through surgery and was doing well until Sunday when she had a severe bleeding issue. Her nurse said she has had in excess of 25 units of blood and had to be put on a ventilator. The nurse said she has lost count of the actual amount of blood that they have infused, she personally stopped counting at 25 units. Her husband came back for the 1st time while she was in the hospital and has refused to leave her side until yesterday morning when he dissapeared. When he left, her laptop that is her lifeline to the outside world has also dissapeared. She has no family at the hospital with her now and there is only so much I and a few others from the Mississippi board can do since we only know each other from OH and we are not family. She has family but they are a good distance away and unable to be here. I feel sure there is a financial issue there. I will be talking to my sunday school class and church to see what we can do to try to get her a new laptop. I know one of the ladies on the Mississippi board is going to talk to her church too. Please pray that between all of us that we will be able to raise the money for a laptop or something. At this time she is heavily sedated and still on a ventilator. She does not know her husband has gone again nor that her laptop is gone. I know she will be heartbroken. Guys and gals.....she really needs alot of prayer right now.

Lots of people wanted to help replace her laptop, as she will be in the hospital for a while and it is her lifeline as her family is not able to be with her, and her husband is gone......I'm posting the info to donate to Tammy's paypal account, and her address for cards.....Tammy is just an angel to organize all this.......There have been several other gifts/prizes donated for a raffle for anyone who donates to LeGina's laptop fund - I'll list those under this post.....Please, also mainly prayers needed, and cards. 

A wonderful post op OH’er that would like to remain anonymous  has very generously donated a very valuable gift to us as a raffle. For everyone that has made a donation to the LeGina laptop fund or will make a donation, your name will be entered. The drawing will be held on or about the 14^th, so please make your donations as we would like to get the laptop for her ASAP. To date we have collected $158.00. Although that is not enough, it is a great start. Thank you all so much. You are wonderful.

 I have posted a picture of the bracelet on my profile for anyone that would like to see………I don’t have a picture of the matching earrings but they will be just as beautiful. I am also working on a man gift as well. I have someone that will donate one.

We are just thinking if lots of us just gave $5 to $10 to Tammy's paypal account (or mail) - we would have this laptop replaced very quickly.....Walmart here (Jackson, MS) is going to do "better than their cost" on the price of a new laptop.....PLUS - we have all these wonderful prizes that anybody who donates will be put into a drawing for, I believe on the 15th.... LeGina is such a wonderful sweet soul who also, like I said, needs LOTS of prayers !!  DeAnna
