Protein Ball Question
Ok, I'm doing something wrong here.
I had to use 1.5 c of peanut butter in order for it to mix up.
Because I'm lazy I just pressed it into a pan and stuck it in the fridge. I hope it'll cut up ok after it's cold.
But my nutritional values are not right at all.
Oat (not instant) one cup
Cals 300
Fat 6
Carb 46
Prot 10
Peanut Butter 1.5 cups
Cals 300
Fat 24
Carbs 6
Prot 12
Protein Powder Choc. 1 cup (which is 3 scoops)
Cals 330
Fat 4.5
Carbs 6
Protein 69
Totals:
Cals 930
Fat 34.5
Carbs 58
Protein 91
Now if I make them into 24 pieces (balls) I see that it's messed up somewhere.
Cals 38.75
Fat 1.44
Carbs 2.42
Protein 3.8
What isn't right here?????? I'm confused.
Your problem starts with the orginal calculation.
1.5 cups of peanutbutter is 2,295 calories..
the protein.. for me would be 3 scoops.. at 110 each.. 330.. thats fine.
a cup of dry oatmeal would be at least 600 calories.
that would make them 134 calories per ball. I only use one cup of peanut butter so my balls are 110.
once you change the totals you will see that you land at that number with about 11 protein showing. at least mine do.. you have more peanut butter so you may be one point higher..
this is my calculations for my balls.

Ahha!! Now I see it. DUH!!!
That make much more sense to me know.
Mine is kind of difficult to eat (need to add splenda I guess) but other then that, they work well. I used crunchy peanut butter. YUM YUM
Now the only problem I see is keeping them away from me. I think I could probably eat three at a time!!!
