I read a post that talked about taking something after you have gall bladder surgery to help your digestive track and I can't find the post again. Does anyone know what it is? I have a friend having problems and would like to let her know. Thanks, Diona

I have heard that there is a pill called Actigall that prevents gallstones in the gallbladder after surgery however IF she is having problems it may be too late. She may already have stones in there and having attacks and now needs to have the gallbladder removed. The surgery is a "day" procedure - meaning that she'll be there for a couple hours to have it removed and then sent home. Can be back at work in 2 days depending on how she handles anesthesia. The only thing I found painful is that they introduce air into your abdominal area and for that air to pass is painful - to me anyway - some people say it didn't bother them..so I guess it depends on the person. Best of luck!
