Hi - I just found this board - I am usually on the MN bd.  I am 2 yrs out last Tuesday.  Have gone from 260 to my lowest weight at 153 last spring.  Since then I have gotten lazy, have pushed my pouch, have started snacking, and have started sneaking in too many sweets.  I will sometimes eat until I am uncomfortable.  I KNOW that I need to stop!  I also noticed that the scale says 163 instead of 153, and I never did reach my personal goal of 150.  I promised myself yesterday that I would follow all the rules.  Did great all day till about 4pm at work & had 4 count them - 4 oreos (I felt sickish!).  Went home, had a legal supper then went to a church thingy & had an ice cream sundae & at midnight had 2 slices of pizza with my kids.  I didn't eat like that BEFORE surgery.  Why am I sabotaging myself.  I NEVER want to weigh 260 again.  Actually I never want to weigh 160 again. I get all my water & protein in.  Take all my vitamins.  Help! Also, I have been so busy with my 2 teenagers & activities that I haven't gotten to the gym but 3x this moonth (have to hit 8 for insurance to pay part), and have a desk job so I don't move during the day.  HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for letting me whine.  Hugs to all, Laura

you did the right thing, you found us. breathe and slow down. some people slip back on a few pounds and you have to remember that you can still help yourself, you haven't gained much back. some of us have a good 30-50 lbs to loose. keep track of what you eat and how often and that will help you in the long run. you will see your choices and kick yourself in the butt and say i need to change that. stay with us and we can all help eachother.... =) gina

Sooooooooo glad you found us. You sounds very much like "most" of the rest of us... It is soooo easy to fall back into old habits. BUT, you have made a positive step by finding us and reaching out and I am very happy for you!! Do you use FitDay or Spark People? Try one of those to track how much you're eating. And as they say on the boards " If you bite it, write it". it may not be "pretty" but sometimes that is all it takes to turn things around. It is NOT too late for you to still reach your goal and NOT too much to expect to stay there. You might want to go back to some earlier posts and try one of the "back on track" programs that have been mentioned recently. You really can kinda "shrink" your pouch back down and become more sensitive to being too full. Hang in here with us and we will help you all we can.   Hugs,      Piggybabe

Welcome Laura!! I have to agree that it sounds like many of us here~still trying to lose or gaining a few so need to work on losing it again. We can all become lax from time to time so don't be too hard on yourself. Just try to regain control as quickly as possible~sometimes easier said than done I know. Good Luck and keep us posted on how things are going for you!!!!!!

Glad you found us over here.  We are all so much alike and in the same boat.  We are just trying to figure it all out together one day, one bite, and one exercise at the time.  Come and post often and share your insight and experiences.  Good luck. Melissa

You did the right thing and found us here for support.  I also am from Mn and enjoy the graduate board much more.  So as it has been said, keep track of what you eat, make time to work out and have a positive attitude!  Visit us here as often as you like.  Sheila

Hi Laura, We are all in here for the same reasons. The fact that you are looking for help, and realizing what you are doing wrong and what your triggers are is a huge step in the right direction. Now to implement some changes. My scale was too headed in the wrong direction and I am only  a little over 1 year out. My surgeon told me something that has stuck with me. I told him how terrified I was of gaining all of my weight back and he said "the folks who consistently worry about that tend to keep their weight off." The key is to recognize you made a mistake and then just get back up on that horse. I was up about 8lbs last month and just turned it around. I started running in the mornings, riding my mountain bike when I have spare time that would normally be TV time. I started getting off the couch..because I'd found my way back there. I started eating only 1/2 of my meals again.. and less than that if it was a big portion. That alone has helped. I also have a very picky pouch and that helps also. I dont' throw up when I screw up..I haven't actually thrown up since my surgery so I am stuck w/ the calories/fat of the bad things I eat..so not only do I suffer through the icky, sicky, clammy, skin crawling feelings I get..I also have to deal w/ the calories/fat. So, I do know what you're talkign about..and you caught it early! good for you! :) we are all here to help each other, so you feel free to come here anytime you need some strenght. :)  big hug! Jess
