Great idea...I am almost 17months out and am struggling to maintain w/o losing.  Would love nformation like others have said about what is good ratio of cal/fat/protein and carbs in relation to say the 1300 calories I am to be eating now as per nurtritionist.  Also, when you go to food recording programs they tend to say that the amounts are too small so they won't let you keep track the way you want. Thanks for all you do to help us. Joan M

It is His love and grace that saved and sustains me.

I would appreciate some information on the way the malabsorption process one experiences with the RNY procedure affects what we absorb versus what we eat, and how that changes over time.  I've been told the best period for weight loss is the first 8 to 10 months because after that, the intestines "wake up" and start to absorb more of the calories than were absorbed earlier on. Also, the affect/success of diets such as Atkins, Weigh****chers, etc., for WLS graduates. Thanks for your dedication to OH.com! Lisa 324/306/254/169 consultation/pre-op/current/personal goal

I would like to know what natrual bodily chemicals trigger appetite, or want for food,  on and off.  Ghrelin is one that says that I have consumed enough. Can anyone help know the others?
