Me First...A First

For the first time ever, I got drunk and went home with a guy.  Seriously.  I am turning 43 in a couple of weeks and this is a first for me. Only you guys could understand how cool that felt.  To do this thing "regular" girls do.  To flirt shamelessy with a guy who was cute and successful, charming and super smart, and have him flirt back with me until we both just gave in. We had SO MUCH FUN.   It's been several days now and like you'd expect, no call or anything, but I don't care.   He was CUTE.  SUCCESSFUL.  FUNNY AS HELL.  WITH THE MOST AMAZING HOUSE (I am an architectural ****) I HAVE SEEN IN AWHILE.   He made me laugh non-stop and kept me engaged (this was pre-drunk as this was the second time we'd met socially).   Yes, it would be nice to hear from him.  But whether I ever do or not, I feel adorable that I took "a walk of shame" the following morning.   Does anyone understand?

I've been married forever, so I can't really relate. I do  notice that every now and then a man will be looking at me (and not in disgust because of my weight), and it does feel good. I went to an outlet mall this weekend and went in stores that don't carry plus sizes, and bought size 10's. I never even went inside those stores before, and I felt "regular" like you did on your date. I'm glad you had fun.

Congrats on the walk of shame!!!  Everyone should have a few of those to look back on!  And to be emotionally secure enough to be OK with enjoying the 'one night' of it all is a bonus!!  You go girl!!

i know exactly how you feel, it feel so good to know that you are eye candy. i have been married for 4 years, but with my husband for 8. i'm only 28 so he is really all i know and i love him. i love the feeling of a man looking at me not for my weight, but because now i'm somewhat attractive. and my hubbie hates it, but i think that is what keeps us going strong. he was with me big and stayed with me thru it all. enjoy every minute of it and it's good to know that you are ok with the walk of shame.

I'm 51 and have never done anything like that before, but I can "imagine" that it would be quite ego-boosting!!!  I did have a "divorcee" tell me yesterday that he noticed that I am keeping my weight down and am "thin and beautiful". He's a "slime ball" and I would NEVER go out with him, but it was still nice to get a compliment from a man. LOL  Then, this morning, a guy offered to give me a ride to the tire store when I busted a tire on my car. He even called me "honey" or something like that!!! This is soooooooooooooooooooooooo new to me, too!!! Hugs to you!!!      Piggy

You go girl!! That must feel fantastic! I actually was bike riding with my husband last night and had 3 seperate men in 3 different cars openly check me out. I was a little taken aback that they did this in front of my husband, but I couldnt' help but smile. My hubby, bless his heart teased me that I was being "checked out".   Way to go!! enjoy it!

Oh I can totally relate!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I did the same thing, just once, but had a blast!!!!!!!   Believe it or not I was 43 at the time also... (just last year) and I was 4 years post-op... lol!   It is amazing the feeling we get after all those years of seeing others doing the same thing and realizing whew, I am one of them now!  lol!  I went a bit crazy that year (well and the year before), anyway I dated like 28 guys in 1 year and had a blast!  I wasn't that crazy with all the guys I dated, I am picky, but like I said - it was a one time thing and sooooo much fun!!!!!!!!!!   Now I'm in a committed relationship, but I don't miss the limelight at all.  Have fun, enjoy life and remember you only live once - but don't go too crazy, keep your dignity girl!!!  LOL!
