Help---Carbonated Pop?
i'm 6 years out and was told no soda from then on. i have drank soda sinec probably my 9 month mark postop, but have noticed the regain. i recently stopped drinking soda with a little sip here and there from my husband, but since i stopped i really don't crave it. they do make you want more, so for every 1 bottle of soda, you need 2 bottles of water to help keep you hydrated. i say if you can, just stay away. carbs and soda when your done with them make you want more, so you don't take in the water that you need on a daily basis.... hth.. gina
I'm six years out and I can count on one hand how many times I've drank carbonated soda. My husband taught me from the beginning how to 'decarb' a soda and I've always done it and after six years, just the thought of carbonation makes me sick! Before surgery I was addicted to Pepsi and Dr. Pepper and now I don't miss them at all! I DO have a diet soda that I decarb and that is Diet Pepsi Jazz in 'strawberry creme' flavor! It's awesome, along with decarbing a diet root beer and putting low carb vanilla creamer in it - it's like a root beer float and low carbs and calories! Yummy!
