How to lose 15 pounds in one week when 27 months out
Have your tonsils removed. Really. I didn't say it would be painless; in fact, it is quite painful, but I'm still not eating much after a week. Thank goodness for protein shakes!
What I find most interesting, however, is that I'm not really hungry. It's like I'm back to the beginning of the surgery and I'm eating because I must, not because I want to. Kinda fun!

Linda;
I think it's a side effect of the anesthesia that makes you not want to eat. I'm having PS in a few weeks and have already started stocking up on protein powders as I'm expecting to not want to eat much and I know I'll need extra protein to aid in healing.
Congrats on the 15 lbs. Sorry it was such a painful way.
Blessings, Jennifer

If you are right, I wonder how long that side effect of anesthesia lasts? I went heavy on the protein poweders as well, and mixed them with carnation instant breakfast pre-made instead of milk. With lots of ice in the blender, it went down pretty well and I got lots of protein that way.
I'm noticing things taste funny as well. I'm hoping that will go away (although peach yogurt this morning was pretty good).
