Eye Opening Experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good morning, everybody!!! I just had to tell yall about the "eye opener" I had this morning.
I was in my closet looking for something to wear, and I happened to see a glimpse of "THE JEANS"! You may wonder what jeans I am referring to. Well, they are the one thing that I kept from my obese line of clothing, and let me tell you, I am so glad I did. I knew I wanted them for a reminder of just how big I used to be, but it has been probably 2 years or better since I got them out. Anyway, I got them out of the closet. (They had the hanger all bent down in the middle!) I know I still have issues with my weight and with my body, but after trying on and looking at those enormous things, I have to tell you, I feel pretty skinny today. Maybe its the boost I needed. By the way, they are a size 28W loose fit, but trust me, they were anything but loose. I remember lying across the bed trying to zip those bad boys!!!
So, I still want to lose the 10 or so pounds it will take to get me back where I was, and make me feel more comfortable, but until then, I know that I have come such a LONG WAY, and there's NO WAY I will mess that up! If you kept your "fat pants", may I suggest taking them out for a minute, and instantly be proud of yourself all over again!!!
We can do this if we help each other!

That is too funny. I remember my fat jeans (still have them in the closet somewhere). They were 24-26 loose fit. Yeah, right. I, like you, have memories of lying across the bed to zip them up. I laughed out loud reading your post because it brought back some memories. I recently came across a picture of me and one of my friends both fitting into my fat jeans. She was in one leg and I was in the other leg. We could almost zip them up. Now, that was an eye opener. LOL. Two people in the jeans I used to wear all by myself. LOL. Yeah, we have come a long long way from those bad boys. Thank goodness. Let's don't ever go back to those either, girl. Talk to ya later.

Beth,
I did this just the other day and got my self back in gear to loose the 50lbs I have to get to my goal. (I had lost sight of my goal and gained about 20 lbs back in the past 2 years) Anyway, I was 395lbs and wore a size 36 before WLS. I pulled out my pants and the shirt I wore with them and tried them on - wooo weee that was an eye opener for sure, I felt like a child wearing their Daddy's t-shirt and big boots - ya know? Anyway, my girlfriend arrived at my door about that time so I figured what the heck and I answered the door wearing those clothes. She said "what in the world are you doing", so I had to tell her. We then both proceeded to get into my old clothing (her in one leg and me in the other) and we laughed and laughed (mostly because we kept almost falling over while her hubby was trying to take our picture)... It's a moment I'll never forget.
I hope you have a great weekend!!!
