Thanks to EVERYONE for making this such a fun thread!! I just love seeing everyone join in. So, if you're still lurking, come on in the water's fine!!! What did you do Right on Thursday? I have a little better report today: I ate a healthy break fast of a baked egg and a slice of crisp turkey bacon and a slice of gluten-free toast. I did not "snack" on anything in the car on the way to work-- BIG accomplishment!! (I didn't realize until after my surgery that I THINK that I have to have something to eat any time I am in my car!! I have no idea where that came from, but it's been a hard habit to break) I unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher this morning I helped my mom with "back to school"  items for the children she babysits. BIGGY---- I borrowed two exercise DVD's from the  Public Library last night. I haven'****ched/participated in them yet but have plans to do that tonite!!! If I like either one or both of them I will order them from E-bay or Amazon. I bought Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup to put in my coffee instead of the "regular" stuff I've been using!!! I have healthy food with me for lunch and snacks today!! How about you? What are you doing right on Thursday? Hugs to all!!      Piggy

So far this morning, I took the steps instead of the elevator!  thats a start for the day!  Our work picnic is today, so my plan is to splurge and have part of a funnel cake.  I will bike tonight instead of taking the night off to help with that.  Great thread, love reading it.  Sheila

Welcome aboard. So glad you've joined in. So proud of you for taking the steps. That's a GREAT start. And "planning" on  splurging is certainly acceptable. I'll bet that you won't be able to eat but one or two bites, but ENJOY them to the fullest!!!  Biking tonite sounds GREAT too.  Good for you!! Hugs,  Piggybabe

Hmmm..today is a tough day for me.  I am struggling with a capital "S." I guess the one thing I did right was to arrange to meet my friend at a middle school track after work for some walking, instead of at the bar for happy hour...

Bless your heart!! I HATE struggling! I could give you some lovely scenario about how a caterpillar must "struggle" to become a butterfly, but somehow I think I'll just "pass" on that!! Your welcome!! LOL  Meeting a friend to walk is a GREAT stride (no pun intended).  I'm VERY proud of you anyway!! If nothing else, at least you are "checking in" on the boards, too!!! Hugs,    Piggy

Sounds like you're off to a great start!!!!! I did 3 miles WATP dvd and did my upper body work out this morning. I'm hoping to get out in the yard and do some weeding today so that should count for something!!!

I hate to sound ignorant, but facts are facts!! What is WATP?  Whatever it is, three miles is GREAT and in this weather, weeding DEFINITELY counts. Heck, in ANY weather weeding counts!!! Good for you!           Hugs,   Piggy

Oh. that's the Leslie Sansone one? I have one of those that a friend gave me and I think I've done it ONCE!!!  It was easy to do, so maybe I should pull that back out and try it again! Thanks.

Yeah, its really easy to follow. I like it b/c it uses the arm weights and stretchy band boosters that have really helped to keep my upper body toned. My 5 mile dvd really gets ya movin' though~its a 14min warm up mile with weights, 10min fastest mile, 13min mile with stretchy band, 12min fast mile and 14min cool down mile with stretchy band~it goes pretty quickly too!
