i can, but i now choose not too. i know that i am not supposed to eat popcorn, but i do. i am very careful about it, and don't eat it as much. i can eat sugar, but have recently stopped. if i am craving for a sugar fix i may take a bite of a piece of candy or eat a small bite size chocolate. be careful with snacking, choose the right snack, if you get hungry take a protein shake instead. one other thing that works out good if your trying to feed the crunchy and sugary craving.... try the 100 calorie snack packs, they are just the right size.

Unfortunately..yes...any and all!    Like the last poster, I started adding snacks in order to stop losing and maintain at goal.  At first I really watched the carbs and fat...but people would make comments.."as tiny as you are, its not going to hurt you to have a few _____________ (insert most anything). Unfortunately, I started thinking that too....I'm no longer at goal and now need to stop eating that crap and lose weight again (no more "tiny" comments!).  The slippery slope is very slippery, and now I eat like I did as a mobidly obese person...and am starting to become one again!!  My advice....have some string cheese or even one serving of fruit for a snack, and don't allow yourself to "munch" on the junk.  I wasn't worried because even at 300+ I was never intot he salty stuff......but my tastes have changed, and it doesn't take much for the scale to start changing!  I can and do, but I shouldn't because I got within ten lbs. of my goal and quit losing. I try to eat on a schedule. That works soooooo much better for me. That way I can "plan" my snacks and make it something high protein. It's really better you if you just don't start because that is partly what got us to the place that we needed surgery anyway. Glad you asked though. We're always glad to have newbies in.  Hugs,  Piggy

I can and sometimes do eat any and all snacks, but carbs do cause me to gain so I try to watch it. I was on a BIG wheat thins kick, but after feeling bloated all the time I've pretty much given them up. I just feel physically better when I don't eat junk, but sometimes that easier said than done.

I eat anything and everything, but all in moderation.  When I snack, I tend to eat yogurt, cottage cheese, beef jerky, etc.  I'll sometimes have cheese and crackers, or peanut butter with either a banana or a graham cracker or some graham rice cakes.  But carbs are such a trigger food for me that I really try to limit the number of high-carb snack that I eat (one leads to another leads to another, and suddenly I've knoshed on 500 calories of carbs that weren't in my daily calorie "budget"!!!!!).  My one exception to that are Snyder's of Hanover pretzel snaps; I have one-half serving of them almost every day (that's about 60 calories and I find them very satisfying).  Kellie

Honestly, I DO snack. But VERY much in moderation. My absolute favorite snack is a small single serving pack of colby jack cheese or sharp chedder. I can't handle much carbs, and man am I grateful! Occasionally (twice a month or so!) I "splurge" on snap pea crisps. These are definatly a trigger food for me so I only buy one package and I share it with my whole family, that way I satay honest with my serving size. I like light popcorn, but again I only give in occasionally.  I think my real trouble making snack was chocolate, and I've cut it back to these teeny tiny dark chocolate single serving things, they satisfy that (pre period for me) chocolate craving without as much sugar, and the 80% caco ones are so dense I feel no need for more then one small serving.  Generaly I too try to stay toward protien for my snacks, like south beach diets protien bars, or special  K chocolate peanut creation that's got 10 grams protien. This way I'm sated and not likely to have more then I need.  Good luck with snacks, just stay honest with yourself, keep track of what you're eating! If you;re a grazer keep your serving small and protien dense  and DON'T go back for more!
