yesterday, nothing wanted to stay down. for lunch i went to the hospital cafeteria and got a peice of chicken some carrots and green beans from the hospital and it wasn't a lot. 3 0z chicken breast and veggies. it felt like someone was sitting on my chest. i didn't finish all the food and i chewed it really good. all day i hurt, i forced myself to (you know) and even 4-5 hours later i still hurt when i went to school. i did it again, still had whole food?!?, but this time i had a air pocket come out, weird. it was the size of a baseball. it hurt so bad and i can't figure out how i got so much air stuck down there. has anyone ever had that happpen?

I don't know that I've ever had air come back up, but I did get an air bubble stuck one day and almost went to the Emergency Room. I knew that it just felt like gas, but about 7 hrs. went by and I could not get it to "pass" no matter how hard I tried.  Everytime I moved it caused sharp pains in my stomach. I finally laid down and took a nap and decided that if it was still hurting when I woke up I would go to the ER (it was on a Saturday).  I drifted off to sleep and about an hour later I woke up and was able to "get rid of it" and felt fine after that.  It was a little scary at the time though!!! Chicken Breast is one of the hardest things for me to eat. I usually eat the dark meat even though it is not my "favorite" because it tends to be much moister and goes down easier. Hope you are feeling better now.      Hugs,    Piggy

it was werid tho, it was an air pocket surrounded by saliva and food, that's how i could tell the size. like a bubble. and the pain was in my esophagus still, not down in my stomach. i do feel better, thank you. i have not felt that much pain since i had to have my gallbladder removed.
