Hey Everyone
I hope your weekend was ROCKIN!!! Mine was really pretty good. I went to the gym with my son again this weekend and he is REALLY getting even with me
I wanted to talk to you guys today about getting serious, about putting some goals in front of you, about not just going for the sake of going but really focused when working out.
We all know I have been struggling to get back hard core where I was a year ago. It's not happening and I have been bummed. Well, sometimes you need a kick in the pants to get focused again.
My son is getting married in Hawaii next May and we are all going there at the end of October for wedding plans. Now, for someone that has been huge their entire life (even as a kid) the thought if walking down the beach in Hawaii looking pretty good in a bath suit is something of a dream.
So my friends, this lady is going hard core. I will be sure and let you know step by step what I do and eat and let you know how it goes
If you have been kinda sorta working out but your heart has not been in it, then come on and join me!!!!! Let's get it going together. Let's make it a goal, if you are a newbie let's have you walking several miles a day by October. If you have been working out then let's take it up a notch. If you have been wanting to get that body fat down and muscle up LET'S GO
We can do it together!!!!

I'm with you Kathy! Although I have maintained my lowest weight around 180 for over 2 years now, I never reached my goal of 150. I rejoined my gym a couple of months ago and began working out again. I started at a slow pace with a goal of just getting myself in better shape. Well, I feel I've reached that goal and now want to crank it up a notch. I started a group personal training last week and I have to say I can tell a huge difference from my previous weight training routine. I'm experiencing sore muscles again, I've upped my cardio to at least 30 minutes 5 times a week and I still do yoga 3 times a week. Next week I think I'll try the "maximum burn" class. Ouch…..
I did move yesterday. I did a 45 minute step aerobics class. It was fun. Then, last night I walked around the block with my little girl. She was on her bicycle so it was more like a jog around the block so I could keep up with her. She is only 5 so I try and stay right with her.
Find you some workout friends to help you get back into full speed ahead. I was really gung ho with my exercise, and then my job got busy and I let it slide some. Then, I met Peggy and Krista and we now all three workout together. We enlisted a trainer and divided the cost so that we could get maximum results. The trainer helped us a couple of times so we could learn what to do. Now we just do it on our own (together, of course). And I have seen more results than the first 2 years of exercising on my own. We are competitive and that pushes me to do more and really kick it into gear. I can't let them out do me. LOL. Good luck getting your body ready for Hawaii. You will have a ball there I am sure. I hear it is really beautiful.
