Things you did right
Hi all, I've been reading the book "Life is Hard, Food is Easy". It's a really good book about emotional eating. One of the suggestions that the author makes is to focus on what you did RIGHT today, not on what you did wrong. I think that sounds like a good idea, so I'm starting out and hope that some of you will participate.
I had scrambled eggs for breakfast and resisted the slice of toast that I would like to have had.
I ate a piece of whole fruit on the way to work.
I only ate one carton of yogurt at lunch when I wanted (and could have eaten) two!!
I walked the "long way" to the post office and took the stairs as often as possible.
I drank my protein shake for my mid-afternoon snack.
I resisted the urge to buy M&M's.
What are some things that you have done right today? Let's try focusing on that for a few days and see what happens!!! Hugs, Piggybabe
What a great idea. It is so easy to focus on the negative rather than highlight the positive. Our self-talk is so important to our success. I guess for some strange reason we tend to think that the good choices don't really count, as that's what we should be doing anyway. Kind of like not praising a child for cleaning his or her room but getting on them when they don't.
Good job on your right choices.
I had the meals that I planned for both breakfast and lunch.
I didn't get the crunchy, bad carb snack that I thought about to go with my lunch.
I have my 64 oz. of water in for the day.

I borrowed the copy I am reading from our local library. It is not a new book, so it should be easy to find almost anywhere. Check Amazon.com or E-bay for a copy at the best prices if you want to buy it. I usually like to borrow books from the Library and read them first to see if it's really something I want to spend money on. This is one that I will want to buy and it has an accompanying workbook that I will probably buy as well. Actually, you can go to foodiseasy.com and buy the book and the workbook for one price!!! Thanks for responding!! Hugs, Piggybabe
