protein drinks?????
We like:
IDS Multi-Pro Vanilla Cinnamon mixed with chilled coffee, sweet n' low, splash of half/half and ice - latte, baby! It is low cal and low carb. Forget the figures but it's low.
Syntrax Nectar Lemon Iced Tea mixed with water or brewed ice tea for extra tea flavor. 90 cals per scoop, 23 g protein, 0 carbs.
Syntrax Nectar Fuzzy Navel mixed with Crystal Light orange sunrise. Around 90 cals per scoop, 23 g protein, 0 carbs.
Hubby also liked:
IDS Multi-Pro Cappucino or Syntrax Nectar Cappucino mixed with chilled coffee, sweet n' low, splash of half/half and ice - latte! But too strong tasting to me. It is low cal and low carb. Forget the figures but it's low.
IDS Multi-Pro Banana mixed with Hood Calorie Countdown Milk Product, a real banana and ice.
Isopure Dutch Chocolate mixed with Hood Calorie Countdown Chocolate Milk Product and ice. Can also add: flavor syrups, a banana, a spoon of peanut butter, etc.
You can get samples of most of these from Vitalady, Enjoyhealth, etc websites. Search around. That way you can try them without investing in a big jug. We buy the IDS in the 5 lb jug and would buy the Isopure in the 7 lb tub.
We usually mix 1 scoop to 8 oz of fluid with most and that works for us. We usually aim for 30 grams per shake so usually do 12 oz of fluid to a scoop and a half. Tastes vary greatly.

The Gladiator by Smoothie King
www.smoothieking.com
1 scoop has 22.5 protein -- vitamins, minerals -- 1-2 carbs 90 calories
I mix chocolate with coffee and other flavors to make a frapp.
Vanilla is awesome with any fruit combo you can think up.
Strawberry is good on its own or with added fruits.
This is the best of all that I have had or like -- others that I like froth up -- get bubbly, etc.
I can't understand why it's not more popular other than Smoothie King isn't in all areas and you have to go into the store to buy it.
The stats for the Gladiator or on the site.
I hope this helps!
I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side. The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.

Hey Gina!
I just love, love, love, Slim-Fast Low-Carb chocolate and vanilla Shakes they have 190 cals, 20g protein, 2 carbs, 9g fat. I work in the medical field so I really need to have "easy" meals or snacks handy at times and these shakes are perfect!!!! I have found them at Wal-Mart, Sam's, Target, and most grocery stores...I even went into a gas station the other day and was about to reach for a diet coke when I saw that they had these shakes stocked, I was way surprised....but even happier and grabbed one instead. Just be careful to not get the "Low-carb" mixed with the Optima ones which are advertised as "high protein" they have tons of sugar in them. Sometimes I am lucky and they have the Slim-fast low-carb snacks available too, but lately they have not been stocking them which sux cuz they r way yummy!!! I have tried every protein powder in the book, and I just can't stand the textures, smells, tastes, etc... Slim-fast are the only ones I have been able to handle, they keep me full, and have a good amount of protein. Hope this helps!

I like anywhey unflavored protien powder. It has 70 cal per scoop and 17 grams protien, 0 carbs 0 fat. I have
gotten it on line or at the Vitamin shop. I like making my own smoothies using one scoop , 4 oz lf milk and 4 oz light and fit fruit yogurt. You can also mix it in other foods or drinks to get added protien,.

Any of these are what I use:
1.) Champion ProScore 100 choco + 8 oz water + ice, blended (hand blender or Magic Bullet).
2.) Champion Pure Whey Stack choco + 6-8 oz water, shaken.
3.) IDS vanilla-cinnamon + "glop" of DaVinci sugar free caramel sauce + 8 oz water + ice, blended.
4.) the PWS chco + the van-cin (50/50) in about 10 oz ho****er, stirred or hand blender.
Lately I've been adding a shake of cinnamon to my hot ones since cinnamon fights belly fat.
I always put 1 scoop of UpCal D powder in (500mg calcium citrate, 250 IU of vit D3).
All deliver 30g protein for less than 190 cal and less than 3g carbs and the cost is less than $2 per 30g serving. I make them with water. I do 6 per day, so they have to be cheap, tasty and not make me fat again!

P.S. My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.
Wow! This is sooooo cool. Not ONE of us listed the same type (well, except maybe for the Nectar). Obviously all protein drinks are as unique as we each are. I personally like American Sports Nutrition's Tropical Banana flavor. I buy it from E-Bay at a really good price. I usually buy 10 lbs at the time. It contains 104 calories 6 g. carb, and 20 g protein. I've tried LOTS of different flavors and for the price and the taste, this has been my long-term favorite. They guy I buy from on E-bay is very reliable and the product is delivered right to my door!!! Hugs, Piggybabe
Hey what a bunch of awesome ideas! I was looking for some, Thank you all of you! I personally am using the Ensure High Protein Milk Chocolate. I drink 2 a day, but I wanted to get the calories down and up the protein. Each has 220 calories and 13 grams of protein. So they are great tasting and good for a snack, but no where as high in protein or sounding as good as any of the ideas here. I am going to the store tomorrow, I am going to try GNC first. I know they carry the Isopur line. And also everyone, another member 11 months out has a sister that is a body builder and a high protein smoothie nut. She said the Coconut Creme smoothie mix by Proteem is good that is another I am going to try!
