Passing out..

Has anyone had any problems with passing out? I am almost 3 years out and for the past 6 months I have been passing out...? I've been in the hospital for testing and everything has been coming back normal. Some people have been questioning if it is due to my WLS. I don't know what to do anymore. I would love to get your feedback especially if this has happened to you. Thanks!

Can you give us more information? What are you doing just prior to passing out? Did you eat something? Had it been a long time since you ate? Were you dehydrated? Did you rise too quickly from sitting while dehydrated? Has your blood sugars and blood pressure levels been logged and evaluated? Have you or are you experiencing any pain?  If so, where, how often, what triggers it, etc? I think that should get things started! You must be very scared.  I have passed out myself and it's frightening.

I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side.  The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.

The cause of syncopal episodes can be difficult to diagnose if it is transient.  The usual avenues of exploration are cardiac (arrhythmias, transient blood pressure changes, etc.) and neurological (TIA's, seizures, etc.).  It's a complex problem and most likely unrelated to your WLS.  That said, have you followed up with your surgeon and had wls-related labs (B vitamin levels, iron studies, etc.)?
