Hey, Hey Everyone !! 1/2 way thru the work week, hope everyone is holding up well with this heat wave hitting most of the country, know it is hotter than Hades here with plenty of humidity to keep you sweating ( did I mention I'm loving it , sick, I know )... Yesterday I did a whole lot better of fat and remembered to review the label on everything I ate to see how it fit with my fat-to-cal ratio program, of course the real key yesterday was that I really did not "eat" all that much, got alot of may protein thru supplements...Today I'm concentrating on eating regular food but again paying careful attention to the labels... B - 10 oz banana/coffee protein frappachino S - 1/2 cup green beans       1 cheddar and mozz cheese twist L - 20 oz decaf sf/ff fv & caramel latte      1/2 a mint oreo      1 bite of haystack D - Oh Yeah! Choc protein bar        S - 1 almond m & m      1 serving bbq chips      1 lemon shortbread cookie       4 cashews       As you can see by late evening I had a little attack of the snackies , probable cause, not enough real food during the day... PLUS -  102 oz water/crystal light TOTALS     =     Cals - 984     Fat - 35     Carbs - 93     Protein - 74...  See ya later this evening...Alesia

Hello Gina, Great food day...those bruscetta sounded really tasty, I love bruschette and make them for weekend snackies while DH & I play cards although I usually don't put any meat on mine, yours sound delish...How long does it take to each one of the promax bars, I notice you always say you are working on eating one, so I am assuming that you spread it out over the day... Be back tomorrow morning...  Alesia

Hey Anita, Well, yesterday was a little carb heavy, but I'm not judging anyone with flaming remarks...I think you know were you slipped and the great news is you are acknowledging it and doing something about it today...Hey, I know I'm not perfect either, some days will be like this one was, just don't make it a regular occurrence and you will be fine... Keep working your program and repeat after me : I AM THE CAPTAIN, I AM THE CAPTAIN  Alesia

Anita, Personally, I made a concious decision to severly restrict all carbs completely until I reached my doctors goal, now in all honestness, I reached his goal @ about 9 months...I think if I was still trying to get to goal at this point (over 2 years out) I would not still be so strict about restricting carbs completely, cuz I don't believe I would have been able to hold out that long with the very limited carbs I was eating...So being where you are now, if I was still trying to lose I think what I would do is allow myself 1 day a week where I could splurge on carbs and have a couple slices of pizza or mac-n-cheese or spaghetti noodles with my meatballs or a sub on the roll ( you get where I'm going with this ) and the other 6 days a week I would still follow my very restricted plan, and I would probably make the splurge day during the week on a night when my schedule was really crammed cuz thats when I usually end up making some meal type of this kind for the family, weekends I have more time to cook and can plan for a meal that is meat and veggie based for me... I know it is hard, just remember how far you have come and that it IS worth the struggle...I have the greatest admiration for you - you are still making the effort when so many would have given up already...So keep workin' your program, you are doing GREAT and have much to be proud of...  Alesia
