Hi all..  How's it going out there ?? Was wondering if I am too new to come to this forum ?? My one year anniversary is August 22nd. I find that i need more support than the main forum, as alot of it is for newbies.. Am looking to find out about WW and maintainence.. I am thinking of joining... Any thoughts to you further out ????  Thanks... Jennifer

Jennifer, I've been lurking and posting here for about a month now. My one-year anniversary is 8 days away. I don't post on the main RNY board much anymore. Like you said, it's mostly newbies that don't have the same issues we're having now. People have been helpful to me here, and I'm sure they will be to you, too.

This  board ia  a  wonderful  place   to  learn  so  much  and  to  know  your  not  alone  on  the  journey  ..  I  have  found  that  life  is  not  alot  different  after  reaching  goal  than  it  was  trying  to   reach   goal ..  Plain  and   simple  its a  life  style  ,,,,  Sure  now  I   can  eat  a  little  more  protien  and  veggies  and  friut  ..  I  truly  have  to  watch  my  serving   sizes  thats  what  I  have  experienced  .... I  am  looking  forward  to  learning  and  sharing  more  with  each  of  you  along  our   journey  ..  Warm  Texas  Hugs, Tami

Welcome Jennifer!!!!! I think you'll find alot of good advice and friendship here! I know several people are using WW for maintenance. Reaching "maintenance mode" was one of the scariest parts of my weightloss journey b/c I was never good at it before so I questioned why/how it could work this time?!?!?! So far its been going well with minor ups and downs along the way, but I've been staying pretty stable for a year now. For me, staying on top of things is the key. I can eat quite a bit of food now and could really throw down alot of calories by grazing all day if I allowed myself to do that. I try to stay aware of what's going on with my body on a daily basis. Also, for me, I found that I needed some therapy to learn to deal with my emotional eating issues~that didn't really become a problem until about 2yrs out. Anyway, Congratulations to you on all of your success and I hope to see you around here often!

Thank you all for your responses.. I am going to try and incorporate WW as well as carb watching.  I too, have started therapy to get below the surface to figure out my emotional eating problems. Thanks for a warm welcome and all of your support.. Jennifer
