Milk isn't a good thing either...makes me queasy like diabetic reaction.  With one scoop protein powder it is 23 proteins and I was told we can't process more than 30 g protein at a time anyway.  That is why I do 2 a day.  I decided to try baked chicken in FF Italian dressing and baked potato w/real sour cream and margarine. Thanks for the suggestions...no I am not trying to lose just trying to figure how to maintain and get close to 1300 calories .

It is His love and grace that saved and sustains me.

Ugh, I didn't even keep track of everything I ate yesterday ... there was too much!  I was in a majorly bad mood and I had the munchies on top of that so overall it wasn't a pretty day for my eating!  I will disclose that there were a few fudge striped cookies and chips and dip involved.  Ugh!   I did make it to the gym and I kicked butt in my Spin class. I worked HARD and my legs were jello afterwards!  Then today I get on the scale and I'm back down the 2 pounds I gained earlier in the week?  What the heck?  With all the crud I ate?  Hmmm??? Anyway, today I am back to planning my daily menu.  And there is a 3K or 5K run in the park tonight so I might be brave and go join all those runners!  So I need to figure out a good meal plan for today so I can run well tonight.   Deanna  :)

Hello Anjanette! You did great ... you deserve a piece of pizza once in awhile!  I like to go to this little place that sells pizza by the slice.  That way I can satisfy my craving and I am limited to one slice!  Yum!  And there are no leftovers to take home to tempt me! I get my Body Fortress protein powder at Walmart.  The chocolate is good and that is what I use for my drinks and I also use it in the protein ball recipe too.  It's only $12-something for a big jug of it! Hi Anjanette, I'm with Deanna, don't sweat the pizza just keep reminding yourself that it is a trigger and choose to eat it under wise cir****tances...You had a day of really awesome choices, don't see anything here to shake my head at...

I reposted the shake recipe to someone else on the board here today, so just come back on and look for it...It does taste really good and has been a staple (with minor variations) of my food plan since about 6 months post op...

Hey Deanna, Two observations : all that exercise is bound to keep showing out on the scale even with the maniac food cravings and also, I find, that it actually takes about 2 days for my scales to reflect excess eating days - in otherwords when I go overboard I usually do not see it reflected in scale numbers until 2 days later ( weird but that's how it seems to go for me )... Glad you're getting back onto a menu plan, I know you will feel better about your food choices soon...

See ya tomorrow... Alesia

Yesterday really reeked for me food wise....for some reason I was having issues with food staying down, so anyhoo.... B protein w/coffee L 1/2 cup 2% cottage cheese w/ 1/4 of strawberries S Graham crackers s cheese stick D protein w/ coffee(I ate steak originally, but lost all of it...so not sure if I count it or not, that may be TMI, sorry) S campbells vegetable beef soup totals were:687 cal/17 fat/50 carb/80 protein I drank about 150 oz of water, I was out doing major yardwork and it was warm...so I was good on that front..I'm going to have to start adding a glass of milk or yogurt smoothie or something in my meal plan somewhere.....I hope all have a good day! Hi De, Sorry to hear you are struggling with food, have you talked to Dr. Way or has this only been going on for a few day?  Maybe its just a matter of chewing it better or choosing a softer cut of meat ( I always go for filet or prime rib when I eat steak and I cook all my meat only until it just barely done to keep it juicy)...You still managed to get in decent protein numbers even with the low cal count, so that is good...Keep working on it and bring it up at the support group meeting next week, you might get good feedback from one of the others...

See ya... Alesia

Hi there Carla! No lectures from me ... my only advice is to add some more carbs in there!  Your body and your brain needs them!!! I don't know how you can eat lamb ... bleck!  Hee, hee! Deanna  :)
