Tikosyn
My DH has been on Tikosyn for over two years now. Before starting him on the drug, he was hospitalized and had his heart shocked to get it back into rhythm, then started the drug. It has really worked for him so far. His heart has gone back into AF a couple of times but didn't last but a day or so, then went back into rhythm. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. DH has had AF for about ten years. it comes and goes about every 4-5 days. We are hoping this will help. there is another thing called ablasion (sp) that he may try if this does not work. they go up through the groin and burn the effected stops.

My DH has been put on Tikosyn. I do not understand about getting the medicine. I was told the doctor's office will set it up and ship to us. Can you tell me how your DH gets the med? and how much it cost?
Thanks in advance for you help. I can not find any body else that knows about this med.

Pharmacare Specialty Pharmacy ships the med. We just pay the copay by credit card.
My DH's rhythm went out yesterday when he got too hot. But after taking the Tikosyn last night and this am, it's getting better - just skipping a little now. The med has really worked for him. Hope it does the same for yours.

Is the copay the same as the one you have for you other drugs? Ours is $40 for a name brand drug for a 90 days prescription. Our other drugs come from Caremark. I understand his Tikosyn will come from CVS (specialty pharmacy.) No one seems to know how much it will cost.
I am glad your DH has done so well on the med. We are hoping this will be an answer for mine.
