Well, I'm trying not to get down on myself but I actually thought I had done good yesterday, w/the exception of the biscotti, and was totally surprised, again, at my calorie count!  Why does this have to be so difficult all the time?!?  I swear - I obsess more now than I ever did!!  Oh, well - another day, another calorie : B - 1/2 c Grape Nuts w/2 T ground flax, banana, 1 c ff milk S - 8 oz nsa lf peach yogurt, AchievONE L - 20 oz ff sf decaf cinnamon dolce' latte', vanilla almond biscotti, sf Jell-O cup, 5 sf Werthers S - 1 c grapes, 1 slice sand. cheese, AchievONE D - 4 oz salad w/1 oz lf shredded cheese, 1 sliced tomato, sf Jell-O cup w/ff RW, sf fudgie S - 1 oz lf Pringles, 1 c cherries, 1 slice sand. cheese Plus I drank 61 oz water, 16 oz half decaf coffee, 16 oz decaf diet green tea, 12 oz cf Diet Coke, 16 oz sf ff hot cocoa w/ff RW and I treaded for 60 minutes plus ran a bunch of errands!! Total - 1992 fat - 45; carbs - 297; protein - 112

Hey, hey Connie!!! Ya know, I look at what you ate and agree, it was great choices and I cannot find anything wrong with that...Maybe what you should try is planning your whole day of food a day in advance and put it all in Fitday in advance so you can see what it is adding up to and adjust the food plan before you implement it, just a thought, might work, kinda like the old days when you were always "dieting" you would check out restaurants in advance to see what you might order... Boy, I had the munchies yesterday too!  This always happens to me about a week before I start my cycle.  Ugh! B-- 1 slice whole wheat toast with peanut butter S-- protein shake L-- ground turkey patty, 1/4 cup mashed potatoes with milk gravy S-- chocolate chip cookie (just one!  ugh!) D-- 2 scrambled eggs with 1 sausage link, 1 blueberry muffin (I was about to burst, I overrdid it!) Calories:  1378           Carbs:  125            Protein:  84 Exercise: Went to the gym and I did 40 minutes of full-body strength training and ran stairs in between sets.  Then I ran 1.50 miles on the treadmill at 6 mph and then walked for 1 mile. Not a bad day...One thing I think, we are always the hardest on ourselves...Others look at what we are eating and often ask what you are worried about, not understanding that food is an addiction for so many of us ( especially for me ) and it is an addiction that you cannot just say "no" to cuz you've got to eat to live, of course the problem is sometimes I still live to eat, just not as much - this is especially true when "aunt flo" comes to town, she's such a bad influence ... Nice job, combating the cookie and the muffin with gym-mania...Take care, its all a balancing act...Alesia

Hello Carla, You are right, not well thought out so I know you had to work at getting the numbers up - BUT - you did it and you did good , still ended the day with a decent amount of cals, great protein and kept the others numbers right in line too... Do a little better advance planning for those busy days, it will help ( and yes I know sounds easier said than done  ) Alesia

Yes the hot month of August has arrived. I am ususally cold too, but today I was sweating. At least my tomatos are finally ripening!

Got in my tredmill routine. I am so pleased I am finding it easier and easier and have increased my mph and incline and have gotten a mile in at just under 22min. What a change from one year ago
Had a really good day inspite of the heat.

Went shopping to spend my birthday money. Bought myself a mp3 player with an arm band so I can have music to play during my exercise. Also bought a great knee length trench coat that cinches in my waist. Not at all what I would have picked out when I was so much heavier.

Hello Sher, What a lovely way to spend the day, bet the coat looks great on you ...Amazing you good it feels to exercise and get off the machine with that endorphin rush that only exercise can bring and then looking back and realizing how far you have come doesn't hurt either... Are the tomatoes on your menu today from the personal garden?  If yes, I know you enjoyed them even more than ever, cuz nothing tastes as good as the ones out of your own garden, still warm from the sun, sweet and yet a little acidic, UMMMM, I'm making myself hungry ... Dont yell at me for all the food I eat, it must be ok, bc Im losing weight again. Breakfast: 4 eggo nutri grain waffles with butter and low sugar syrup Lunch: Cold Cut 6in on wheat sub from subway with oil & vinegar chips Dinner: rigatoni w/ italian sausage, peppers, and olives w/ 2-3 glass of zinfadel Liquid: 2 fruit 2 o's, 2 starbucks venti non-sweet blac**** teas. Snack: Hummus & pita
