Hey All It's AUGUST, are you prepared for the hottest month of the year? I'm ready, bring on the heat, cause I'm always cold... Well, yesterday when I posted I know I was on the road to ruination and already snacking inappropriately, needed some prayerful intervention, thanks for the warm support from all of you, held on pretty well, although the call bit me again late in the day right before dinner Pre B  - 1 lemon blueberry almond cookie                       1 bite size butterfinger crisp                       1 mini mounds bar B - 10 oz choc/banana/coffee protein frappachino S - 10 oz choc/coconut Protein on the Go L - 4 oz grilled sirlion steak with portabello mushrooms       1/2 cup herbed potatoes       3 broccoli florets S - 1 sf choc       2 sf mini choc cupcakes        1 almond m & m D - 3 oz grilled cheeseburger no bun       5 french fries       1/2 cup caesar salad PLUS - 66 oz water/crystal light and 10 oz hot tea TOTALS  =   Cals - 1503     Fat - 65     Carbs - 111     Protein - 121 It could have been worse considering the direction I was headed early in the day...Today is a new day and I'm in the right mindset, goal for the remainder of this week is to keep total carbs under 100 every day...  Alesia

Everything I eat makes me sick so I said the hell with it and went to burger king and got me a whopper and ff....ate 1/2 the burger and 1/2 of the fries. Did I dump??? Sure I did. I wouldn't be me if I didn't.....So darn if I do and darn if I don't.....................

Man girl that has got to suck, how far out are you? or do you have other issues like a constantly blocked stoma that causes you to get sick from most everything...What can you eat that doesn't make you dump?  Alesia

Must have been in the air yesterday.  I was RAVENOUS I tell you.  I ate my lunch at 10:30 and I knew the whole day would be a struggle.  I fought the good fight though - and ended up at the very tipsy top of my range.  So - I do get to keep the card (#6 - woohoo) - but I'm not thrilled with my mindset for the day.  I was stressed and kept reaching into my lunch box to cope.  Then when everything was gone at 10:30 it was a loooooong afternoon.  Then after dinner I was snack snack snackin' again.  It was all in my head.  And even though I didn't let it throw me WAY off the course - I'm still bothered by the eating when I'm clearly not hungry. B - choco/strawberry protein smoothie 2 pc light toast w/ SF jelly coffee w/ sf creamer S - 1 med peach 1 med banana carrots & FF veggie dip L - tuna salad sandwhich  1 ou ff chips S - ff yogurt & bran buds D - oranage roughy parmensan mixed veggies side salad onion/cheese bread S - bagel w/ light cream cheese NSA Ice cream bar 2 pickle rolls Yeah - like I said the highest points in my range.  It was 107 protein grams and plenty of fruits & veggies.  Water was good.  Just wish I could stop all the snacking!  I'm doing better today.  I know I'll keep card #7 and be proud I accomplished my goal for the week.  Just wish I could actually show a loss on the scale.  We'll see tomorrow morning.  Maybe the scale gods will smile upon me yet.

 I'm bowing before card #6...After all in the end you still beat the hardest part, go-go-go! girl !!! Do me proud...As for the mindset of the day, you already know I was rowing out into the wide open ocean with you, hope Wednesday was a better day for you, I know I did MUCH better... Alesia, you and I were in the same boat yesterday!! Dadblame biscotti's I made!!!! MMMM, EVIL!!! B protein w/coffee S cheese stick S biscotti 2....home made ones(dang things) L protein w/coffee D 2 oz chicken breast, cheese stick sf jello cal/835, fat/33, carb/44, protein/91 I relied on my protein and coffee since I had eaten those bd little cookies...trying to keep my calories in check...however, my calories should be around 1000.... It is a new day and my thoughts will be with ya! Have a good day everyone! Dede

Ewww, Ewww !! Can I please get the recipe of the homemade biscotti's, Ummmm...1000 cals a day, is this what Jamie is suggesting for you or something you came up with on your own, seems a little low unless you are still a fair way from getting to goal...None the less, limited choices look good and you did great on the carb count even with those evil  little cookies... Alesia, I'll look up the biscotti recipe, I found it online...they are yummy!!!! As far as the calorie count..I'm trying to get to at least 1000 a day...hopefully more, still have issues with food(meat mostly) where they just don't want to go down.  Not to mention, I am rarely, if ever hungry, so I forget to eat(geesh, never thought I'm say that!)...TTYS! Alesia~ Thank you so much for your words of inspiration and your great shake recipe.  I am going to try making it tomorrow for breakfast.  I did incorporate another suggestion that you shared which was open faced sandwiches.  I use a multigrain rice cake with 6 slices of turkey or chicken breast (if I am moderately hungry)  .  If I am still in the crunch mood, I use two rice cakes and 12 slices of turkey.   All told, this gives me 90 calories, 18 grms protein, 24 carbs and I am full and sweet tooth satisfied. I will post the daily totals after. Anjanette

Here are the totals for yesterday................ B:  2 servings (4ozs.) light and fit carb control yogurt       1 serving special K soy protein cereal s:   sugar snap peas       1 quaker rice cake with three slices of turkey L:  1.5 cups romain lettuce       3 ozs london broil s:   1 starbucks chocolate biscotti D:  1.5 cups lettuce  (4 pm-I must have been crazy!!)       3 ozs. chicken       1 pretzel rod S:  genisoy crisps           2 servings of OM turkey slices       NF, decaf, SF english toffee latte total:  Cals 1114  Carbs 124  Fat 16  Protein 93 high on the protein....seems like I try to increase cals, but the protein goes up too.  This is such a challenge sometimes. I did get some really great advice from a dietician from the nutrition board that will help.  I will also ask my dr. where I should be in terms of numbers (even ranges will be fine) just so I know what I am doing..... Oh well.....I will try again tomorrow. I AM THE CAPTAIN OF MY OWN DANG SHIP, FLOATING OR NOT!!!!! Anjanette
