Thank U for the Cheer Anjanette, I could see you in my mind with the pompoms ...GREAT day for you !  Know what you mean about wanting to lower the carb number, sometimes I get a little paranoid when I read so many other postings with much lower carb intake then I have and think mine should be lower too, but really when I think it thru and finish trying to "be like the Jones' " if realize for me personally I need those carbs to keep my maintenance numbers steady, of course I like to keep my range between 75-125 but some days its just more...On the calorie front, I agree, you know you need to get in a few more, I have a suggestion if you want to consider it...I make a protein drink that has like 270 cals, its a hefty count and can really add to my day but I like it alot, reminds me of my pre-surg Starbucks Frappachino days : 8 oz carb countdown choc milk 4-5 ice cubes ( more if you like it really thick) 1 scoop chocolate protein powder 1/2 a medium banana 1 heaping tbsp decaf coffee crystals 1 splenda packet ( like my coffee drinks sweet) Blenderize it all until smooth, I use my magic bullet and drink up...Protein 29 grams, carbs 24, fat 7, cals 271... Anyway, if you want to try it, I love it and it would definately add some cals to your daily total and up the protein too... See ya... Alesia

Hang in there sister!!!  You are the captain!! Wow, I was hungry yesterday!!  Rainy weather??? coffee with ff creamer B-1/2 boiled egg and 1 1/2 egg whites, 2 bacon, slice cheese L-3 oz chicken, 1/4 c brocc and cheese, 1/4 c. peas, 1/4 c. brown rice, vitamuffin S-snack bag baked doritos, 2 slices ham D-whole wheat pasta, ground chicken, tomato sauce, parmesan grated S-banana nut vitamuffin (they're gone!!!) TOTALS:  Cals -1417   Fat - 40   Carbs - 169 (WOW) Prot - 116

Hi Denise, I'm holdin' on and you are doin' good, FANTASTIC DAY, don't sweat the carbs having a few extra some days keeps the body thinkin' and thats a good thing, besides a big hunk of them came from the muffin's I'll bet and they're gone now, so you will be much lower tomorrow... Good morning, Alesia!  I've got the "blahs" today too.  My former self would be binging on food like crazy today so I need to keep myself busy so that I don't do that.  Ugh! Yesterday was a good day: B-- 1 scrambled egg with cheese, 1/2 slice whole wheat toast, 1 plum S-- protein shake L-- 1/2 cup salad with light dressing, 1/2 BBQ chicken thigh, 3 sugar free cookies (tiny ones) S-- 2 protein balls D-- ground turkey patty, 1/4 cup mashed potatoes with milk gravy, 1/4 cup green beans S after gym-- small banana with peanut butter S-- sugar free pudding cup and south beach cookie pack Calories:  1620       Carbs:  159       Protein:  98 Exercise: Went to the gym and did my Kick-boxing class! Deanna  :)

That my girl Deanna, kickin' butt kickboxing...Man I like that and I know all that serious gym work really pays off in keeping you well balanced so you can have that little something more cause you're craving it...On the sf cookies, man, I just got an order of QVC for Josephs cookies ( the all natural, sf ones, and they plop them in a blob of melted sf chocolate so its a little sf cookie surrounded by a pool of sf chocolate - one word YUMMO - one observation, NOT LOW CAL  - but man are they a tasty treat! Keep workin' it woman, you are doing GREAT !!!  Alesia

Hi alesia, well i think i did good today. but i dont think i got enough protein in. i have been bad and no****ching what i was eating. i been baking sf peanut butter cookies and eating them. now i told myself i have to start being in control. my weight is now 156 so i have to stop this stuff right now and loose. . anita B- 1 scoop body fortress cho. protein powder (23 proteins) 1 c. skim milk (8 proteins)

L- maybe 1/2 c. cottage cheese, 2 slices turkey, 2 slices roast beef, 1 provolone cheese, 5 red grapes - ate this at the hosptal. i was waiting for a friend to come out of surgery. she was having lap rny done.not sure how much protein.

S- atkins cho. chip granola protein bar (17 proteins)

D- 1 hot dog (5proteins) 1 hot dog bun small spoon of  instant mashed potatoes 4 fried green and yellow squash with italian bread crumbs spoon of homemade applesauce

S- 6 oz. sf jello

S- 1 serving of mini chedder rice cakes 1 serving of caramel rice cakes

16 oz. def coffee 16 oz. def hot tea 126 oz. plain water

Hey Anita, You've seen the light and you know recognize that NOW is the time to take control...I'm sooo proud of you for coming to this conclusion quickly and now you are ready to take the steps to go back the way you came ...I've had a couple of pounds creep too and getting close to the edge of my comfort zone, so I'm with you now it IS to time to take hold...I'm going to work religiously to cut out most of my carbs starting tomorrow and at least until I like what I'm seeing on the scale more, I plan to focus the few carbs I eat on coming in my protein drinks or good carb choices like fruit  & beans and really stay away from the "white" carb choices I tend to have some of daily like crackers, pretzels and sf sweets, this usually works for me and also help me break away from getting too ingrained in poor eating patterns cause I loose the cravings for this stuff if I don't give in and have them daily... Good Luck, we can do it, you & I...See you tomorrow to report in, 1st day's goal ( Wed ) carbs for the day under 100, then will reduce it again on Thurs and again on Fri...  Alesia

Hi Alesia, Yes I am seeing the light and now i have to stay with the light if i dont just knock me in the head. ok.. i cut the carbs big time today. you will be shocked but i maybe doing it all wrong we will see what you say about my food for today when i post it tommorow. yes you and i and all the others can do it. oh first goal is carbs under 100... and thur and fri........... i cant wait............ i will weight myself in the morning since its a new month. and then put the scale up for a week. anita

grab that wheel.. you can do it.. I am sending positive vibes your way. I think I am getting close to that time cause the scale is raising on me.. but I did get the cals up yesterday.. so i am hoping that is not a sign of what happens when I raise my calories...lol

B- Protein shake

L- 2 oz of lamb and veggies

S- protein balls 2

D- 4 oz of chicken roastbeef and cheese lunchmeats in a salad.

S- ice cream and pretzels.

Totals calories ...1,336, carbs... 80, fat.... 55, protein... 132

Hey, hey Carla, Don't worry and don't start cutting back those cals yet!  I seriously do not think the few extra cals are what is moving the scale up, I do think it is "Aunt Flo" and the water bloat that comes with  her ...I'm sticking to my statement that you need those extra cals in your day... You did GREAT with your totals, all of them especially protein, WOW and carbs below 100 too... Stay strong, stay on track, keep those cals up and carbs down, it will work out right, I know it, you need to have patience in working out the maintenance plan...  Alesia
