Accountability - What did you eat, Saturday 7/28?
It's so frustrating when you are out and don't have any "good" choices to make. You feel like you eat like a bird all day and end up logging in more cals then you could imagine. It just plain stinks. When I am home I make delicious big meals that taste yummy and I feel like I'm cheating I get to eat so much. Then I go out and I have to eat some little tasteless bites and write down huge numbers. Poo on that!! I hope your Sunday is better my friend! (HUG)
My Saturday was great. We had my nephews birthday party at my house. Could have been a disaster but I snuck away and made myself a chicken breast sandwhich so I could pass on the brats that were being made (I don't like em anyway). Then I made a yummy pasta salad that was very light (I didn't tell anyone else - he he) and had hubby get some fresh sweet corn. Plus there was fresh fruit. I was so proud of myself. I even treated myself to an ice cream bar later since I passed on the cake. And during a movie that night I ate some popcorn. What a treat - although I'm retaining water like the Hoover Dam now - It was totally worth it! :)
B - Eggbeater & cheese on toast
L - Grilled chicken on light bun w/ RF mayo
1/2 corn on the cob
1/2 cup light pasta salad
1/4 cup baked beans
S - cantaloupe
D - 2 cheese toasties
grapes
another 1/2 cup pasta salad
1 ou FF chips
S - NSA Ice cream bar
98% FF microwave popcorn
2 pc toast w/ SF jelly and sf whip
Came in right at the bottom of the point range. Drank like a camel all day and got in 78 g protein. I like to see the protein a smidge higher but that was acceptable. I could have gotten more fuits & veggies but I'm quite pleased with my day.

...Man you hit it right on the money when you were talking about how you think the choices you make while out are pretty good and then when I see the end result you just want to smack yourself silly, its nice to know others can relate...
Looks like today will be another day to keep the card, only 4 more to go, you are going to make it

Well I managed to big a little piggie yesterday. I was doing well and than I went to a baseball game.. opps.. snacks snacks snacks.. I dont think I have had cals this high before here it goes.
B- protein shake and extra small banana
S- protein bar
L- 1 oz of chicken, roast beef and cheese
S- 2 protein balls, 1 serving of pretzels, and one ice cream bar (sf)... yikes...
D- seafood ranchero.. 3 oz
S- 20 peanuts and half of a smoothie.
Totals calories.....1,572, carbs.... 101, fat.... 57, protein... 147
drank about 80 oz of fluid..
Wow I never stopped eating all day. I will try and do better today.

Hi Carla,
You had a good day and I really liked your totals, don't think they were too high at all, you know you need to have some days where you run higher, it was good for you to do this
...And you made smart choices all day, even the icecream ( it was sf and with the dairy it had a little protein too!)...I'm not saying go overboard, but you could definately do more days like this one, it will allow you to help figure out a daily range for being in maintenance...

Sounds like you enjoyed the party and the cake, I know what you mean about the temptation and wanting it out of the house, I've got some sf cupcakes here that are just tooo good with alot of icing on top, "Aunt Flo" is about to visit and she always brings sugar/choc cravings and boy those little choc cupcakes are really calling me everytime I pass by, they may be sf and mini-size but they are still full cals and carb...
Glad you hubby is recovering well, give him a hello from me...Keep up the good work, you had great numbers today, congrats on getting your cals up a little more, you ARE still making good choices while working on this...
