Hey Cindy, Good luck with the plastics, I know I feel so much better now that I've had my BL/BA, I'm about 6 weeks out now and the new girls have finally pretty much settled into their new place and I feel more comfortable with them... I know some RNYers who exercise ALOT do eat a bit more than I do, most common for heavy exercisers ( 2-3 hours a day) seems for us to be maybe 2000-2200 , and that is definately still eaten in very small portions ( probably no more than 4-6 oz of meat as a max in one sitting for us ) and also very little sugar ( although many RNYers can eat real sugar this far out, most still choose to keep the limits low )...And when you say normal portions, I guess its all relative to what you think is normal - my nut says normal for anyone ( including non-ops ) is 3-4 oz of meat, 1/2 cup of low carb veggies and a small serving of starch type carbs for 3 meals a day and 2-3 snacks containing 1-2 servings of some kind of protein and maybe a carby starch to go with it (like 1 oz of cheese and 6 crackers or a small banana and 1 tbsp of pb )...I would say most days I follow pretty closely to this thinking... I can think of a couple of RNYers who might wish they could switch it up to DS if they only knew that you could have so much more and sweets too without too many adverse affects ...As for me, I'm happy with how things turned out for me and really don't have too much desire to go outside my program, however, we will see, it is a long haul until I die ( I hope) and this type of eating is now mine for life... See ya back soon...Alesia

Hello Mommy, Well I have to agree, there is alot on the list but mine has got plenty too, so no casting stones and really I think you did good on the choices you made, maybe just too many choices ...Don't you love the recipies in that EATING WELL AFTER WLS cookbook, I bought it right after my surgery and have made many of the recipies listed, most of them winners with my whole family... Anyway, as said, tomorrow is a new day and a BETTER day...Good Luck to both of us...Alesia

On Target Anita, Now stay away from the scale for a little while, its all going to be good, you just have to trust that you follow a plan of good choices and it will all come together...You even made a good choice at KFC given the options...So keep working your program and repeat after me, I AM THE CAPTAIN  Alesia

I came - I saw - I conquered. The buffet that is. That's right.  Buffet stule banquet dinner and I still kept my card for the day.  Can I get a woot woot?  :) B - Choco-Banana Protein Shake 2 pc light toast w/ SF jelly 2 cups coffee w/ SF creamer S - 1 cup grapes Celery & FF Veggie Dip L - Healthy Choice Cheesy Chicken & Rice S - FF Yogurt & Bran Buds 1 serving FF Lays chips D - Grilled Chix breast on bun sm serving scalloped potatoes Cantaloupe & grapes (OK - so the buffet wasn't too hard because the only other choice was brats and hamburgers.  And dessert was just some cookies - easy enough to pass up.  Thank god they didn't wheel out any cheesecake or anything) S - Eggbeater & cheese on toast  2 pc toast w/ SF jelly and SF cool whip Landed smack dab in the middle of my point range and had 104 grams of protein. Now today I had to battle a birthday party.  It was at my house (for my nephew) so I snuck away and made myself a grilled chicken for my sandwhich and made my own very healthy pasta salad so I had some side dish.  There was also fresh fruit.  I managed to pass all together on the cake and ice cream and now I'm sitting here wondering how It's 8:30 at night and I'm barely over half my points.  Sounds like hubby and I are going to pop in a movie and I'm going to enjoy a few snacks to reward myself for the will power! :) Hope everyone is having a great weekend.  I'm two days strong on my 7 card week.

Hello Sher, Your totals are AWESOME...Hope you enjoyed your PB & J, I like them too, but do not splurge on it often either, mostly because I like it best on soft white bread and soft bread still sticks sometimes for me... Enjoy you Sunday...DH is recovering well, I hope...Alesia
