Accountability - What did you eat, Thursday 7/26?

It was a pretty good day.  I definetely get to keep my card for the day! :)  Although I could have passed on those chips at the end of the day.  I was already in my range and they put me at the very tipsy top - but sometimes I just have to get that salt in.  Yum.   B - WW Bagel w/ LF Cream Cheese Coffee w/ SF creamer L - Salad w/ turkey breast & FF Dressing 4 breadstick crackers LF cottage cheese Fresh strawberries S - FF lays chips (1 ou) D - 2 FF hotdogs on light buns 1/2 corn on cob 3/4 apple no pudge ice cream sandwhich  S - choco/banana protein smoothie 2 pc light toast w/ SF jelly and SF whip 2 ounches FF chips So yeah - the tipsy top of the range - but still ok.  I got 93 grams protein and over 80 ounces water. I have to face a social food situation tonight. Hubby's work has a banquet.  That means buffet, sweets and alcohol.  I'll be channeling you during the buffet.  I'll be chanting "fruit, veggies, protein (oh my)....)  I MUST STAY STRONG!! :)

 I'm sending out good thought over the airwaves, you will have a great time tonight and you WILL handle it with the greatest of ease...My suggestion, look over the whole deal carefully, decide where your best choices are, fill, yes, I said fill up a plate, knowing you will not go back and pick at it all night long, for the alcohol challenge stick to wine spritzers or home made type where you mix diet ginger ale or lemon-lime type soda with a dry wine ( this drink at the lower end of carbs and cals ) Most of all, I want you to keep your card today and I know you can, hopefully to kept it light all day in anticipation of maybe going overboard a bit tonight... You did GREAT for Thursday !!! I'm giving an advance pat on the back for tonight, cause I know tomorrow you will report in with positive results  Alesia

Hurray for Friday!!! I didn't log in my calories yesterday and I did not exercise and I feel like a complete mess!  I just like being in control better so today it's back to logging calories and back to the gym! Yesterday: B-- 1 scrambled egg, 1 slice whole wheat toast L-- 1 slice thin crust pepperoni pizza, 1 mini-size Twix S-- 2 protein balls D-- homemade chicken enchiladas S-- 2 cookies  Ugh, what a day!  Well, today is a new day ... I will do better! Deanna  :)

Hi Deanna, Looks like kinda a light day for you, but you did do good, nice choices ...Know you will feel better to be back at the gym today...I had water aerobics scheduled for tonight, but DH woke me this a.m. with a reminder that we have a previous commitment...Toyed around with just meeting him late and doing the gym anyway cause I really like having my groove on again, but in the end, pushed my slug body out of the bed and did 1 1/2 miles of run/walk around my neighborhood instead...Not a bad way to start the day, really energized me, but it is really humid here and I was really sweating like a dog when I got back, even though it was @ 6 am... Enjoy the evening...Alesia

Good morning all! Breakfast was light yogurt with berry cheerios(oh man are those goooooooood) S sf jello, 1 Tablespoon of peanut butter L Protein mixed with coffee(had to get it on the run) S 2 small pieces of beef jerky D salad with chicken breast, smoked mozzerella ranch dressing S grape nuts trail mix with milk Hmmmmm, well, it looks like I ate alot, doesn't it? I ate right on for my WW points....maybe 1-2 over.  My main point is just to eat FOOD not drink, so right now that's my goal(and to get enough protein in, of course) Have a great day all! Dede

Hello Dede,  Pretty fine at meeting your main goal,...I assume by your remark about FOOD not drink you mean to eat your protein rather than drink it, but maybe you mean you are trying not to drink while you eat - could you clairify?  It is important to get enough protein, no matter what the source...Doesn't look like you ate alot to me, if you did I might need to re-evaluate how much I'm eating... Alesia, yepper, you were right..I meant getting in my protein via food rather than the supplements..I gotta be honest for the most part since surgery they have been my staple..perhaps scared to actually eat? Imagine that! But, I've come to realize, I need the energy for my body...Thanks so much for the kudos! Your day looked great too! Dede

Well this is kind of weird but I was sooo busy yesterday I don't know what I ate!!!! I've tried to think, I know I didn't eat junk or sugar but this is all I can remember.  B - oatmeal S - protein drink L - ????  D - small salad and turkey wrap   Isn't that the funniest thing??? This sure wouldn't have happened to me preop!!!!   I know that my numbers were low yesterday, probably VERY low. I'd guess cals were about 850ish. I was just on the run all day long and didn't get home until after 11pm.

Its crazy Laurie, but probably not all that unusual... Food used to be everything, even into the 1st year post surgery cause of the various stages of eating that you go thru...Now if I don't carry a tablet to keep a running tab I cannot track all of what I ate or drank, especially true about how many bottle of water I got in... The important thing is to just keep working it and knowing that the choices you do make are ones you are happy with ( you know the guilt free kind) See ya tomorrow, with a full accounting, OK...Alesia
