Hey - finally a day I can write all good stuff.  I'll try not to hurt my arm while patting myself on the back.  I'm home today with a sick toddler.  *sigh*  I've been so sick myself the last 6 months it's hard when she gets sick and I have to take off work.  I feel so guilty.  So be it.  What can I do?  I'm good at my job and they probably wouldn't risk saying anything to me - even if they don't like it.  DD had a serious temp last night and was throwing up from midnight till 4 am.  So I needed to stay home and rest anyway.  Oh wait - I still woke up at my normal time and have cleaned the house from top to bottom and done 4 loads of laundry all ready..hmm.  She's napping now - I should go take advantage. On to Sunday's good eats. B - Chocolate Protein pancakes (yum yum  yum) S - chocolate rice quakes L - (we had a picnic at the park - how fun!) crab salad on hotdog bun ff yogurt & bran buds broccoli salad S - half pack cheese/pb crackers D - ham & beans (more yum yum yum) corn muffin salad w/ FF italian S - (lots of snackin after an early dinner- but it didn't add up to much) 2 mini-zucchini muffins  cantaloupe FF chips & ff dip corn on the cob Pretty good day.  Just at the bottom of my WW points range.  Total prot was 65 - probably should have made some more protein rich snack choices.

Girl - you know I will!!  I was just waiting for someone to ask.  :)  This is a south beach pancake recipe I once stumbled across and after several attempts and tweaks I have made it pretty tasty - if I do say so myself.  I'm sure it will vary depending on the type of protein you use - and you can change the flavor so easy just by changing your protein - I've done chocolate, vanilla & banana protein - all super yummy.  Now - the batter will seem thin and they make very thin pancakes.  Don't get your hopes all up for something light and fluffy.  They have to be pretty thin or else they stay too gooey in the middle. I also like to tear them into little pieces before I eat them and like put them in a bowl with a few shots of butter spray and a drizzle of SF syrup (Smucker's is my fav)   1/4 cup quick oats 1/2 scoop protein powder 1/4 cup LF cup cottage cheese 1 egg beater 1 ounce skim milk 2 T splenda (I also shake some benefiber in there) Put them in your blender - something small works best.  I use my magic bullet or my little counter belnder.  Let it rip until everything is blended into a smooth batter. Spray a nonstick skillet with cooking spray.  Heat to medium and make like normal pancakes.  It makes like 6 pancakes.  But it's still only about one serving as they are small and very thin (can't make them too big around because of how thin they are) Hope you like them.  They pack 21 grams of protein with the powder I use! :)

Hey, hey Denise, How's it goin', are you lovin' this weird weather we have been blessed with the last few days, I know I am...Thanks for the encouragement...I do feel good about being able to just eat a couple piece of candy and not go overboard, but still keep wondering if I should be eating the candy at all, its still a regular part of my life...Its weird but I can just have a taste or a smell now and be satisfied...On the other hand, I do alot more baking and weekend cooking than I did pre-op... Your day sounds fantastic, Yummo...I keep seeing what others have to eat and want to go into a cooking frenzy and make all this great sounding food, and I thank everyone for share their yummy recipies, the problem is that many of the things I eat, I am the only one who will eat it at my house, so can't just go hog wild cooking all the things I have a taste for this week...For instance I would love to have the veggie quiche again and also sausage stuffed mushrooms or stuffed portabellos, this sounds crazy , food addict, but I sure would like to just cook it all - seriously reminds me that I am a food addict and that is part of what got me MO in the first place, so I do have to be careful... As for you, keep up the great job, you really are doing fantastic...I'm proud of your choices and I hope you are too... Alesia

Hi Alesia! Honestly, I don't even recall everything I ate yesterday (yes, it was THAT BAD!).  I started the day off great but then it went downhill from there.  I do remember eating a slice of pizza for lunch.  Then I managed to eat an M&M cookie, a couple bites of a Hostess Ding Dong, and then a small bowl of icecream.  UGH!!!!  I don't know what came over me!  But then I caught some of that show on TLC about the person who could eat 33,000 calories in a day and it gave me a rude awakening.   TODAY IS A NEW DAY!  And I'm adopting your "I am my own Captain" plan!  Today is going GREAT!  I went to the gym already and my meal plan is in action.  Today is a new day! Deanna  :)

Steer that Ship, Deanna, YOU ARE IN COMMAND !!! I know I sure have days I would like to stop writing it down, cause it really starts to look like I'm on a grazefest...For sure this is why accountability is so important for me, I feel guilty when I admit to others all the little stops my vessel has made to exotic ports of call that aren't on the cruise plan, then I double check myself and start straightening out the rudder so I can steer it back on course...I really appreciate you and everyone for posting accountability with me... Thank you   Alesia
