Hi Deanna, FANTASTIC day for you...Are you in training for another event?  Wanted to ask you, do you make your own recipe of creamed chicken, if yes, how about posting it, sounds yummy over a toasted english muffin...

I eat pretty much the same thing every day so this is gong to be boring - and at 6 years out I eat more than a new post op would. Breakfast: piece of bacon, scrambled egg with a little melted cheese. Lunch: stick of cheese with a piece of deli ham wrapped around it.             Can of V8. Snack: couple pieces of beef jerky Dinner: grilled salmon filet with dill sauce. Ate half about 4 ounces.               couple teaspoons of grilled veggies. Snack: cup of yogurt with some fresh raspberry's mixed in. Don't know the calorie count - I don't keep track. Also 120 ounces of water, 1 cup of regular coffee.

Hi Myrtle, Its not really about what you are eating, but about making sure you continue to eat well, so come on in and keep posting, maybe we will inspire you with something new to add to your regular food plan...Reading this, does not seem to me like you eat more than most grads who have made it to goal or are pretty close, mostly meaning those over a year or 2 out...You have a plan of good food choices, I know other older posties that feel consistant same diet is the key to keep the weight off, for me I need variation and thats where daily tracking on Fitday comes in real handy... Keep up the good work ...Alesia

Hey Carla, You did have a good day, its just that most of the things you are choosing to eat are also pretty low in cals ( tuna is great example of that )... As for me, it really depends, main factors in how much oz I can eat at once sitting - how dense is what I want to eat, how well I chew it, how long I take to eat it and how long it has been since I last ate anything - I would say probably 2 1/2 - 4 oz at each meal sitting of my protein choice and a small amount of the other items on my plate, I can actually eat 4 oz of filet mignon cause its so tender and chews down to almost nothing when cooked right, of course I will have to give up all but a  couple bites of the vegie or salad served with it to eat that much, but I can and have put in that much if I spread it out over 30-45 minutes and chew really well... Also I usually only have one meal a day that has a "solid" protein in it like steak or pork, other meals usually have soft protein types that don't make the pouchie feel quite sooo full... You're doing fine with your choices, my personal suggestion though, is to try to eat at least 2 1/2 - 3 oz of solid protein in at least one meal a day and add other good soft proteins like tuna, chicken salad, eggs, cheese, etc also in 2-3 oz servings to get your protein #'s up, really though you do well with total protein in a day from what I see, if you try to get more of the protein from food rather than protein drinks or bars you might be able to up your cal #'s a bit more... Hey Anjanette -

No hurt feelings here, just hop on in, I just want to post because it really helps me, sometimes I just cannot get it posted that early, but what is important ( at least to me ) is to post...ANYONE can jump in, any time ... You did throw me off for a minute though, thought I must be getting alzheimers cause I didn't remember posting, yet there it was I had a good day yesterday and a fun time at our Bike Nite, always get extra water in at the bike events so my liquids intake was "da bomb" if I do say so myself... You did really well yesterday, better on the calorie total...I will give some thought to sweet/low cal/low carb  - i know, how about mini soy crisps, I get the BBQ ones @ Walmart, they are sweet, have protein, pretty low in carbs and you get quite a few for about 100 cals...
