Me, me, call on me!!! I did! I just got home from doing an hour circuit of weights. And for anyone that isn't working out, get your butt in the gym! I've had two plastics consults and both surgeons have said that my core muscles are so strong they don't think I need abdominal muscle tightening with my tummy tuck. So, tonight, as I was doing my 200 sit ups with 40 lbs. of weight on my chest, I kept telling myself no matter how much it hurts, it's gotta hurt less than surgical recovery from the muscle tightening.

You hit the nail on the head!!! My abs were so strong prior to my TT I was able to lift myself out of bed right away!! All the working out I had been doing helped me get around right away!! Strong arms and back help too!! Good Luck with your PS!!!!! Summer

Hi All- I've been MIA from exercise for a few days but got my behind back to the gym last night. I did 45 minutes of strength training followed by a yoga class that lasted about 70 minutes. Yeah! Wow Ms "It"!   200 sit ups is amazing and with 40 lbs! WOW WOW WOW! I have a hard time doing crunches because they hurt my low back. I've had trainers check my form but it still hurts my back.  I have a family history of weak low backs. My mom had surgery on her low back, I've had surgery on my low back, and my 28 year old daughter has had surgery on her low back. I'll keep trying to build up the number I can do before my back screams NO MORE! Later, Janice

Try Pilates. I absolutely love Pilates!! I have a friend with lower back problems and when she doesn't go to Pilates her back hurts!! It will strengthen your core and reduce your pain!! Good Luck!!

Janice; I never would have thought I could do crunches with so much extra weight, but my husband started challenging me last fall. And I'm always up for a good challenge, so I just started doing them. Now that I know it may make my surgical recovery much easier, I'm even more motivated to add more weight and/or reps. I just wish doing them would have eliminated the need for a tummy tuck completely.

Hi Kathy!  Great job! Wednesday, I went to the gym and put in 30 minutes on the elliptical and then took a Kick-boxing class.  LOVE that class!   Deanna  :)
