Hey Donna,
Even though I am having a revision next Monday, I don't regret my LBL last August. These last 10 months have been awesome! Now we are going for the best possible outcome!
I had a hysterectomy at the same time and it wasn't all that bad. I had a pain pump for 5 days afterward and it really wasn't to terrible at all.
Good luck!!!

working hard to lose it again!

My girlfriend had a LBL and loved it! The recovery was long - 3 months off work - but with a leave of absence, and accumulated time she was able to do it. She looks fabulous, feels great and she can find clothing to fit. She had many return visits to her surgeon in the first few weeks after - to keep an eye on healing and keep infection away. She had no complications and said seeing the doctor many times after is what kept her healthy and healing so well. Once the drains were out, she healed up faster, and was able to move more so she felt better. The first weeks were rough but so worth it (for her) in the end.
I had a abdomenplasty a year ago and breast lift six months ago. Today I'm thrilled with the results but at the time both were challenging. The tummy tuck expecially. You can't even walk upright for three weeks. The drains are horrific. I was in agony. Imagine natural childbirth times 100! It's that excruciating. It was three months before I felt relatively normal. I still have numb places on my abdomen and have to be careful not to let the dog jump on me when I'm lying down.
The breast lift was a piece of cake in comparison but was still painful for some time.
That said, I'd do it all again in a heartbeat. Just follow your surgeon's instructions to the letter and don't try to do to much too soon.
