Hey Deanna, Great job on the race , you are "da bomb" girl...I wouldn't worry to much about the eating yesterday, as you say, the cals burned far outweighed whatever off track choices you made...Sound like you know how to plan, sometimes it just doesn't all come together the way you want it too - I struggle with this also...Saturday I did a great bike ride and even remembered to bring my extra bottle of water and a protein bar, but didn't drink the water until we were almost home and never had the bar at all ( it was replaced by other, not as healthy choices)...I know you will be back on track today... Hmmmmm - verrrrry interesting!!  We always associated weekend w/"fun" eating and old habits die VERY hard!!!!  Having said that - yesterday was a great day!!  I'm very proud of myself ! B - 1 pack pb on wheat crackers, AchievONE S - 1 multigrain waffle w/Smart Balance and sf syrup, banana, 1 slice of sandwich cheese L - medium apple w/1 T pb, sf Jell-O cup, 1 pack O'Coco's, 5 sf Werthers S - 3 oz salad w/1 oz shredded lf cheese, 1 sm grilled yellow squash, sf Jell-O cup w/ff RW, sf fudgie D - 1/2 c sf ff tapioca pudding, 1 pack WW Cheddar Twists, AchievONE S - 1 c nsa lf chocolate ice cream, 1 c mixed fruit Plus I drank 64 oz water, 16 oz half decaf coffee, 16 oz decaf diet green tea, 28 oz sf ff hot cocoa w/ff RW, 12 oz cf Diet Coke and I treaded for 30 minutes and did light weights for 30 minutes. Total - dadadaDA 1726 fat - 47; carbs - 251; protein - 83 Have a great day!!  5 days til the beach!!!!!!!

Hey Alesia! Wow I haven't been here in awhile. I learned on Friday that I am pregnant. Very happy and excited but nervous. I have maintained my weight now for a year and the thought of seeing the scales climb for the next 9 months scares the heck out of me. Hey Girl, Haven't seen you in a little while, welcome back !  and Congrats my dear, that is soo awesome...I know you will do fine during the coming months, you have been working hard to learn the right eating habits and choices - you have the strength and will to keep applying them while you adjust your eating to accommadate 2 people...Just remember to keep tracking in Fitday or Sparkpeople to make sure you get enough and continue to do right and hold strong to your course... My DH is on vacation and my grandson is staying with us a few days. So we went for a ride and stopped at an area icecream place that makes their own. Icecream has always been one of my favorites. I had a small pistachio icecream cone. Boy was it good, and I didn't dump. I wish I had. Later after getting home I did some baking. Made banana oatmeal muffins and chocolate chip cookies. I froze the muffins and most of the cookies but I did have one cookie . As you can see from totals, I didn't do well.


Why didn't I dump? I deserved to feel miserable after eating what I did. Why did I decide to eat high fat, high sugar icecream and with a sugar cone????? And a chocolate chip cookie???

I cannot do these things and expect to get to my goal.

Tomorrow I meet with an orthopedic surgeon to plan for my knee surgery. I really need to get to my goal or a little below since I will not be able to exercise the same for a while after surgery.

I think I know why I did these things today
My DH is having major surgery on Friday, I have no control over what will happen and I really am terrified and very worried about how things will go, but this is not the way to cope. I would have felt better if I had made more healthier choices.

I need to be in better control and will really try.

Ah Sher, Please don't beat yourself up, you are, by far, one of the best eaters I know, consistantly making sound choices...Sadly many a WLSer and non-op alike have  fallen prey to emotional eating, its so hard not too, food tastes good and I don't know anyone who was medicated as a kid with it  - ie, a spoon full of sugar lets the medicine go down, tonsils out - eat icecream, flat soda will settle an upset stomach, and I'm sure there are more, plus food at weddings - at wake's - at showers, you get the picture...  Focus on how well you have been doing, really on how well you do everyday...This one day was a bit out of the norm for you, but I think you might be surprised, sometimes a big day shakes up the body and confuses it causing a jumpstart to loss again...   Today you WILL be back to yourself...See ya soon...Alesia
