Hello Everyone, How was the weekend?  Mine was food challenged, as usual, but I'm learning to work with the fluctuations in my eating plan between weekdays and weekends...Read a good article recently that talked about the importance of tracking food every day and also emotions involved with eating - it specifically stated that most people eat quite differently on the weekends, which is why tracking is so important - words to ponder... B - 1 cinnamon twist (didn't sit well & gave me mild dumping syndrome, so I laid back down )       3 slices of bacon L  - 1/2  a personal pan pizza w/ hamberger, mushrooms & pinapple        2 baked chicken wingettes        1 finger of peasant bread S - 1 protein ball       2 sf peanut butter cups       16 oz decaf sf/ff fv & caramel latte D - 2 oz roasted chicken       2 glazed baby carrots       Oh Yeah! choc protein bar S - nsa skninny cow icecream sandwich ( another round of dumping, this time too ) PLUS - 88 oz water/crystal light TOTAL   =     Cals 1400     Fat 66     Carbs 124     Protein 81 Still surprised to continue to experience problems with dumping...Just when I think I've got it all figured out something out of the blue will hit me wrong...As they say, its an ongoing process Ciao - Alesia

Hey girl.. well its back to work again. I had a great weekend with the family. I actually got grandma in the pool on Sunday for a game of volleyball. It was a lot of fun and she even wanted to stay later than usual. She is very afraid of driving but she did great. She is getting so good at coming to our place now.. Before we always had to be the one to travel to her.

As far as eating I missed a bit of food so I actually ate more ice cream to try and make up for it.. what a joke was that and I till barely got to 1100. Oh well.. back to work and I will get back on track..

thats interesting but very true.. i eat so weird on weekend as apposed to work days.. but than again because many days i travel at work i get weird days than too even though I try and keep it going. If I didnt track I would feel lost.. I am so glad sparkpeople is around to help me with that.. I even have grandma on it as she needs to loose about 60 pounds herself.. she calls all the time.. what should i do for this and wow did you see the calories from this..heheheh.. shes doing great though..

I am a dumping fool. I have to be so careful as well. I guess the skinny cow icecream is not in your future. I think I dump from eating to fast or if its to dry. Either way its to often for my liking.

Yesterday

B- Protein drink

S- protein bar

L- roast beef and chicken with cheese sandwich with no bread.

S- opps

D- chicken and 2 bites of beans ( food to dry I think)

S- ice cream... with protein

Totals calories.... 1,125, carbs... 77, fat...36, protein...132

Not to bad I guess..

Hello Carla, chickie  Hey, hey, you are right, not a bad day...You already know the cals were a bit on the low side, but protein was, wooowhoo, fantastic ...I've almost got you trained (LOL) you know what to do, when you aren't doing it and how to correct it, so don't go leaving me just cause you're doing so great, OKAY ...

To dry still causes me to dump to, rarely experience a problem with eating too fast, if anything still dragging it out too long...My culprit is real sugar, sometimes I can eat up to 10 grams in a serving without the slightest twinge, then others ( like the skinny cow episode ) totally throw me off...

Have a good one...Alesia

the only time I tend to eat to fast is at night with my family. yikes.. with 4 kids and one with severe behaviors and autism.. sometimes it gets hard to concentrate on what I need to do.. so he acts out I swallow without thinking before im done chewing.. need to really work on it.. seems to be the only meal time i have any major problems with.. when I with the family... hahaha..

I know you love those grand-babies even if they're halfzies...You will be a great mom, just need to work on getting your eating program down pat so you will be prepared to make the best choices for yourself when you are eating for 2...  Alesia

Hi there Alesia!!! I didn't keep track of my eating/calories over the weekend.  Yesterday I had an all-womens 5 mile trail run called "Run Like a Girl" and it was so much fun!  I finished in 1 hour, 2 minutes and I was sooooo proud of myself!   Here is what I ate, what I remember: B--1 slice whole wheat toast with peanut butter, 1 cup light orange juice S after race--1/2 whole wheat bagel L--1 chicken strip, 3 strawberries, a couple Sun Chips, and 1/4 of an elephant ear (the race ended inside our Zoo) S--2 bites of cheesecake (oops!), beef jerky D--a MexiMelt from Taco Bell S--light icecream OK, it wasn't a "great" day as far as eating is concerned!  I didn't prepare and take good food with me on the road and I was gone all day long.  I need to be better about that!  But I burned a butt-load of calories by running! Today is a new day and I'm on track!  Woo hoo! Deanna
