Accountability - What did you eat, Thursday 7/12?

 Its Friday the 13th, don't walk under any ladders and toss a little salt over your left shoulder for good luck... Well, I was still happy with my day again yesterday, but my daily totals were much higher, had a little foray into sugarland with a few bites of a really sumptuous  chocolate mousse cake that racked up a few extra calories (   too many especially considering how little I actually ate)...Today I WILL do better B - 10 oz choc/banana/coffee protein frappachino S - Oh Yeah! Choc protein bar L - Chicken and Cheese Quesidilla w/ 1 tbsp of sour cream and 1 tbsp of salsa on top       3 bites of choc mousse cake S - 1 sf peanutbutter cup D - 3 oz smoked pork chop       1/2 cup of portabello & 3 cheese cavetelli pasta       4 small slices garden fresh tomatoes S - 2 sf peanutbutter cups       10 oz protein hot cocoa w/ reddiwhip PLUS - 82 oz water/crystal light TOTALS  =     Cals - 1540     Fat - 82     Carbs - 118     Protein - 97 Everyone - Enjoy the weekend and will see you later  Alesia

Hi there Alesia! Great job with your eating!  You made me want a chicken quesadilla!  Yum! Yesterday was a weird eating day for me because I was out of town visiting family.  I took a couple protein balls with me (thank goodness).  I didn't count my calories but here is what I ate: B--1 slice whole wheat toast with peanut butter, 6 strawberries L--we went out to eat at a buffet of all places.  The salad bar had NO protein on it!  But I had a small salad with light dressing.  And then I ate the toppings off of one slice of pizza.  To me, this just did NOT taste right!  But I took great satisfaction in watching everyone else pig out and be miserable and I sat there feeling great about my choices!  S--2 protein balls D--BBQ hamburger patty with cheese, 12 grapes S--a very small serving of strawberry shortcake.  Yum! I skipped the gym yesterday.  But I need to go today to run because I have a 5 mile trail run on Sunday morning to get ready for.  Ugh!  Why did I sign up for that???  Hee, hee! Deanna  :)

Hey Deanna, I know, its kinda weird watching others do the buffet thing now, I rarely go to one, but with 2 teenage boys in my house, they are hard to completely avoid...

Still looks like a good day for you, worked with the choices available ...Good luck on the run, you are a much better person than I, that kind of exercise is way out of my range and I'm NOT looking to add it anytime soon either ... Alesia

Hi, Alesia!!  You had an awesome day!!  Don't worry about your taste of the mousse - you're only human!  We're having a baby shower for my daughter's best friend tomorrow and I'm planning on having 1 forkful of shower cake.  I know I shouldn't - but I'm gonna!!    I had a wonderful day yesterday - pleasantly surprised!! B - Western Alternative bagel, banana S - 1 pack pb on wheat crackers, AchievONE L - Fuji apple (I can't stand not having apples!!) w/1 T pb, sf Jell-O cup, 1 pack O'Coco's, 2 sf Werthers S - 1/4 cantalope, 6 lf cheese cubes, AchievONE D - leftover potato burrito from Corona's, sf Jell-O cup w/ff RW, sf fudgie S - 1 1/2 c nsa lf vanilla ice cream w/1/2 c fresh blueberries and ff RW Plus I drank 64 oz water, 16 oz half decaf coffee, 12 oz cf Diet Coke, 24 oz ff sf hot cocoa w/ff RW and I treaded for 60 minutes. Total - da da da daaaaaaaaaaaaa 1669 fat - 42!; carbs - 250; protein - 85 Have a wonderful weekend!!

UHOH, now you're in for it 25 years of bad luck - NOT!!! WOOOWHOOO , that was not just a good day, that was a stupendous day - go go gadget girl...Enoy the shower and the cake, I had some leftover from a shower on July 4th, OMG it was sooo good, even just a little taste, I'm thankful that I can eat just a bite and be satisfied ... Well I finally was able to get on the internet this morning.. and we have had two power outages so far this morning.. must be friday the 13th.

Went to the gym yesterday for the first time in 3 weeks and did some light stuff to see how my bones would feel.. I am starting to hurt a bit from not getting my arthristis treatment so i will have to see how it goes.. I tested my fat content thing and BMI and I am now at 19 for my fat and 20 for my bmi.. I was happy about that.. Was really busy yesterday so I missed a meal but I did grab a high protein smoothie to make up for it.. so here it goes.

B- protein shake

S- protein bar two bites of an apple.

L- smoothie.. more like at snack time

S- O

D- cheesy brocolli chicken.. yummy

S- ice cream

totals calories....1,157. carbs.... 94, fat.... 34, protein... 123

Didnt drink enough but got some in.. bout 60 oz ... will do better today.

Hello Carla my dear, Well, how did it feel to get back to the gym, I know you've been missing it...I know I really have been too, I'm always surpised at that, cuz I was definately never a gym person pre-surgery even in the early years before I gained sooo much, now I really miss that endorphin rush that comes after starting to exercise... You did good with the food...I know, you know this, but a little reminder does not hurt - Got to keep up with getting in your meals, OK, I'm glad you realized you needed to get in a supplement for the missed food, that's important too... Are you having brown outs due to the heat? or power out due to other weather conditions?  I remember the brown outs from when we lived out there? Have a great evening...See you tomorrow...Alesia

My day started off just fine. I attended an antique fair with my DH in Brimfield MA. It is one of the largest in the country. Got 3 hours of walking in and then my bum knee was causing me extreme pain and we had to leave, but saw lots of great things, didn't buy any antiques but enjoyed looking and made good food choices and drank water along my trek.
