I just received my Susan Maria sample pack... comes with a cool shaker too.  So I began a modified TO plan today.  I am looking forward to seeing the scale move in the right direction for a change!!! So does anyone have any good protein shake recipes? Just bought some "any whey" and it is flavorless to be added to anything, even soup! Also, any good ideas for reasonable snacks for when you feel the urge???

I don't drink protein shakes anymore, but when I did I had to doctor them up a lot because I just don't like the taste.  I did a pumpkin shake; I would add some canned pumpkin to a vanilla shake along with cinnamon, Splenda and nutmeg and ice.  I also would do a “Pina Colatta” (SP?) shake, I used vanilla protein powder and some coconut extract and add some canned crushed pineapple (I buy the light pineapple made with Splenda) with some of the juice.  I also use to make a grasshopper shake; I used chocolate protein powder, mint extract and half a pack of the 100 calorie Oreo cookies pack and ice.   There was the old stand by of adding frozen banana chunks to a strawberry protein shake.

The doctoring added some calories and sugar, but that was the only way I could get them down!

Good luck on your TO!

I just thought of one more.  I used vanilla powder and either flat diet orange soda and ice or sugar free orange jello mix and ice to make a orange and cream shake. Oh, or you could take any powder you choose and add 2 huge scoops of cookie dough ice cream and blend....just kidding....kind of!

I like to make my own shakes with the unflavored protien powder by adding it to either 8 oz skim milk and some frozen sf strawberries or blueberries and splenda  or with a container of sf yogurt with or without fruit and may add an once or two of milk to thin it out and splenda. Sher

I think the most important part of the shakes is to make them cold and shake them right.  The plastic shaker Susan Maria sends doesn't work as well as a stainless shaker.  Susan Maria sells them but you can just go buy a martini shaker.  Doing it that way makes the shakes in the sample pack taste good with out doctoring them. Although I do like adding a bit of sugar free Hershey's syrup!  Michele
