Hello All Hope everyone is enjoying the week...I really feel like I'm off track personally this week, sort of off kilter...Can't pinpoint exactly why I feel this way, hope to smooth out the road soon... Food for Tuesday was pretty good until late in the afternoon, my boys were doing all the work for dinner ( I feel they need to know how to cook & clean so they fix a minimum of 1dinner meal a week), anyway, oldest was caught up in the TV and really slacking on doing his part of the meal, consequently we were way off our regular meal time - I spent the extra time, just picking at things, which really added up on my daily total, plus they were'nt necessarily good things to pick on B - 2 protein balls S - 20 oz decaf sf/ff fv and caramel latte L - 1 slice vegetable quiche       1/4 cup peas-n-carrots       a bite of potato salad S  - 1 sf almond caramel        1 butterfinger mini crisp        2 dark choc covered expresso beans S  -  1/2 oz mixed nuts              1 prune              5 prune bites              2 sf peanut butter crisps            ( as you can see just straight grazed from lunch to dinner) D - 1 cup caesar salad        4 bacon wrapped scallops S - mocha egg custard PLUS -  82 oz water/crystal light and 5 oz hot tea with lemon & honey TOTALS   =   Cals - 1556     Fat - 95     Carbs - 111     Protein - 96 I AM THE CAPTAIN...Today my ship is sailing back on course !!!   Alesia

Hi There -  Just stopping in to let you all know that my family and I got moved to Oklahoma this past week.  Things are CRAZY and eatting is sooooo very NOT good. But I am the captain of my ship and I will sail through this storm on to calmer weather!!!  B - oatmeal L - potato soup and turkey sandwich D - turkey wrap S - popcorn, couple of ritz crackers I haven't totalled anything, I don't have internet at home yet so I'm waiting on that before I dive back in to the "real world" heehee.  I'll be back on line soon though and ready to get things straightened right out.  HUGS

Hello Laurie, Good luck with getting it all unpacked and into the right places ... I know moving is such a challenge, done 7 in the last 15 years...YOU are doing fantastic staying within the guidelines, especially for someone under all that stress, no good cooking facilities, utter chaos all around you, I definately did not hold up that well under the pressure of moving, so give yourself a pat on the back , take a bow and keep up the good work, you're holding on just fine... Hiya Carla, Good job on getting in more water, it is sooo important ...You had a good day, keep doin' what you're doin' ... Know what you mean about seeing what the kids eat and thinking, man they should make better choices...Have to remind myself, at this age ( both teen boys) just about anything I say makes them react the opposite way...My youngest is definately going to struggle with weight if he is not careful, already borderline for being at an overweight BMI.  we are working on helping him understand serving sizes, better choices and learning self control... Until later - Alesia

I'm just lurking on your board but have to ask, what are 'protein balls'?  I've never heard of them before but am thinking they might be helpful/useful.  Is it something you make or buy?  If you have the time please share!  Thanks!

Hi lLeslie, Protein balls are homemade, a yummy ( I think, an so do many others) concoction designed to help you get in protein and for me, enjoy a treat too...Many say they taste like no-bake cookies, but are very filling, I usually can only eat 2 and I feel like I've had a meal and I'm 2 years out... I posted the recipe on this site under 'RECIPES FOR DEANN', or something to that affect just a couple days ago, so  you can look back in the last couple of days posts and find it, also posted a really tasty quiche recipe on the same request... Come in with questions or to post with us anytime  Alesia
