Accountability - What did you eat, Saturday, 7/7?

Hi Everyone, One more day left of the weekend, got to relax a little this morning and slept in, so just getting in to post now for yesterday...Hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far...We enjoyed our day at the fest even with an afternoon thunderstorm dropping quite a bit of rain and fierce winds blowing thru, the day was steamy and the rain really cooled things down... B - 2 protein balls S - 10 oz white choc/strawberry Protein on the Go L - 3 bites of a lamb gyro       1 serving of ribbon potatoes S - 12 oz Mikes hard berry (had to do something while to stay out of the rain )        sf protein hot cocoa S - 3 oz Smirnoff raw tea (had to do something while waiting to be seated at the restaurant ) D - 3 oz filet mignon       1/4 of a loaded baked potato        4 bites caesar salad        1 yeast roll with honey butter S - sf lemon creme cake PLUS -  66 oz water/crystal light TOTALS  =     Cals 1284     Fat  48      Carbs  96     Protein  94 Not exactly a stellar food day as far as choices, went to the fest prepared with lots of water and a protein drink and bar, had the drink, skipped the bar...Still ended up at the low end of calories and with a great protein total, but feel a little guilty about the 2 side trips to alcohol, which could and should have been water to keep my water totals up... Don't beat yourself up, Alesia!  Those drinks were screaming at you, right?!?  What's a girl to do?!?  LOL  You're doing good MOST of the time and that's what counts!! B - 8 oz nsa lf strawberry yogurt, AchievONE S - 1 whole grain waffle w/Smart Balance and sf syrup, banana, 7 lf cheese cubes L - 1 T pb and 1 T sf grape jam on 1 slice seeded rye bread, sf Jell-O cup, 1 pack O'Coco's, 2 sf Werthers S - 3 oz salad w/2 T parm cheese, sf Jell-O cup w/ff RW, sf fudgie, AchievONE D - 1/4 peanuts, 1 c grapes, 3 sf Werthers S - 1 oz multigrain nachos w/1 oz lf shredded cheese and salsa, 1/4 cantalope Plus I had 64 oz water, 20 oz sf ff hot cocoa, 16 oz half decaf coffee, 16 oz decaf diet green tea, 12 oz cf Diet Coke and I treaded for 60 minutes. Total calories - 1721 fat - 53; carbs - 221; prot - 95

Good Afternoon.. well I stepped wrong on that foot I have been having the problem with dropping and sprang my ankle really bad. So I am spending the day on the couch. Dont think it's broken but because it's numb not sure what I did to it.. sure looks bad though..

B- protein drink and banana

S- protein bar and almonds

L- baked zitti with out the zitti.

S- one protein ball

D- chicken and roastbeef with cheese luncheon meat.

S- ice cream

S- pretzels..

I feel like all i do is eat now trying to get all these calories in.. I'm not even hungry when I eat.. of course I still dont have that hunger thing so I just eat at the times I am suppose to.. I dont know how I ever ate as much as I did when I was heavy.. I just cant eat that much nor do I want that much..

I see others eating huge amounts and Im amazed at the amount of food they put on their plate than remember how I use to do that.. Reality is a tough one here.. I am glad I just dont see food that way anymore. Even at home I dont make as much as I use to for the family. They are all eating the right amounts of food unstead of me having tons of left overs and throwing stuff away.

Hi Carla, Sorry to hear about the foot/ankle, rest it and get better soon... GOOD day!   You are doing great at getting in plenty of cals and protein while keeping both fat and carbs to a minimum...Keep it up, you're doing great... Know what you mean about feeling like you are eating all the time to keep the cal totals up...I too eat basically all day, or so it feels, no more than a couple, 2-3, hours between a meal and a snack most of the time...This is actually okay with me, I think it actually staves of the desire to put tooo much bad stuff into my mouth, of course, sometimes what I pick up to eat for the meal or snack is really not the best choice ( ie - sf candies or cookies ) but still, as you say, so much less than when I was pre-surgery...I hope things can continue like this for me always, I don't know if it will, the further I get from surgery the more I worry I will suddenly start gaining it all back and this I am determined NOT to do, have seen a few cases personally of post-op'ers who let it all go by adding in drinking with meals or eating too often of really high cal low protein choices or adding too much alcohol ( all cals, nothing else of value)...I am just NOT going there if there is any way I can avoid it, was too hard to get to here and I'm STAYING, I will make adjustment as necessary... Whoa Sher, I think this is the highest total cal day I have seen you post...Personally don't see it as out of this world, but you know my daily numbers run closer to this (and higher sometimes) anyway...The real point though is to keep the choices good and you definately did that, so if some days the body calls for a little more, I say indulge, if you're like me tomorrow or the next will be unusually low as a catch up day cuz you won't be hungry at all... Remember to keep up your fluids intake even when you are eating a bit more and have a great day tomorrow...  Alesia
