Love can make you gain... watch out grads!

I had my RNY in Dec of 04. Lost 154 pounds - went to a size 4-6. In the process, I left my husband and filed for divorce.  I have since found the absolute love of my life - the one I never thought existed. In the process of courting... I have gained 10 pounds and don't fit in my 6s anymore!! Ahhhhh! Love can make you blind.... I got so caught up in being with him, I packed on the dreaded weight I had my intestines cut up to lose.    Anyone have this happen ? Back to basics on Monday!! Laura

Hi  Laura! I haven't seen you around in awhile! Must be all that happiness that  you've found! I'm SO very happy for you that you've found someone to fullfill all your dreams! Now that you're aware of the 10lbs I'm sure you'll get them right back off~not to worry! Good Luck and  keep us posted on how things are going!

Laura,     Congradulations  on  finding  the love of  your  life....  Just  think  about  it  you  lost  154 lbs   you   can  lose 10  lbs...  You  have  the  tool  and  you  know  how  to  do  ...  So  just  remember  you   have  all  the  support  that  you  want  or  need  right  at  your  finger  tips!!!!  You  can  do  it  !!  Keep  us   posted  so  we  can  cheer  you  on  ..  :-)  Hugs  of  encouragement,  Tami

Thanks Tami for the encouragement... the first step is always the hardest. But I did one thing already - I stopped drinking the soda. My ultimate weakness has been defeated.... hopefully !

What a great motto...  something I should incorporate into my thinking..  You are right thou... love does make you gain..  So does loss and depression which is what I suffer from..  Your success is awesome.. I wish someday to find the same... wl and love. but no gain.. I need to loss.. I gained it back.

I just saw your post.  Same thing happened to me- 5 lbs and 1.5 sizes.  Joe- my husband- the wedding is on August 4th, 2007.  It's driving me nuts.  I love him like crazy, but my love is making me hog down the house.
