CRUISE TO LOSE - HELP! DESPERATELY SEEKING CABIN MATE!
Our Ruby Cruises/Morton Plant Hospital Cruise to Lose is taking place on September 30th from Port Canaveral (Orlando area) on Royal Caribbean's BEAUTIFUL ship, Mariner of the Seas. We are doing a week's cruise to the Eastern Caribbean, making ports of call in St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and the Bahamas, and throughout the cruise, the Morton Plant Bariatric Team will be conducting seminars, presentations and support group meetings. The team consists of three surgeons, a nurse practitioner, a bariatric coordinator who is also a very successful WLS grad, and a nutritionist. It is going to be a BLAST, and we have many OH'ers already booked; in fact half of the members of the group are from this board!!! I'm so excited! Anyway, one very nice lady who booked her cruise awhile back called me yesterday morning with a dilemma. The person she was rooming with (her son) is now unable to go, which, if she can't find a room mate, also means SHE can't go. She is SO upset. She asked me to see what I could do to find her a cabin mate. I felt so bad for her - she was nearly in tears! So together, she and I are doing everything we can to find her a roomie! Can you help?? SOOOO....we are looking for a female to share a Balcony cabin. The cost is $731.28 total - includes all tax and port fees - with a $30 rebate mailed directly to you after the sailing for a net fare of $701.28. If you are familiar with cruising, you know that $700 for a BALCONY cabin on an upscale, resort style ship like Mariner of the Seas is unheard of, and in addition to all of the ship's regular activities, we are offering the services of the Morton Plant Bariatric Team. If you would like to join in and be a part of this FANTASTIC experience, and at the same time, help another WLS'er out, please let me know! You may PM me, send me an email [email protected], or call me directly (toll free) 866-685-7829. If you visit my website www.rubycruises.com, you can read up on the Cruise to Lose - the upper right hand side of the home page has a link entitled "Cruise to Lose" - you'll see my picture (lady in a pink shirt holding up a REALLY BIG pair of jeans which I wore to the hospital the day of surgery! LOL). You can see my story there including an article and a TV news interview clip I did for our local CBS affilliate back in April. The prices listed on the website are CURRENT prices (our group is sold out except for one Jr. Suite), however THIS PARTICULAR Balcony cabin was booked prior to the group's close, and is available at the $700 price. So....anyone able to help out? Let me know!! ~ Terri
