CRUISE TO LOSE UPDATE!!
Putting the call out to anyone interested: We have a single berth available on our Ruby Cruises Morton Plant Hospital CRUISE TO LOSE on Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas departing from Port Canaveral on September 30! One person had to cancel, leaving her "roomie" stranded...SOOOOOO what this means is that we have a very nice lady who is looking for a FEMALE cabin mate for the cruise. She has booked a BALCONY cabin at a cost of only $731 ALL INCLUSIVE with a $30 rebate after the cruise for a net fare of $701!! - that's all taxes and port fees included! Current pricing is over $1,000 per person for that category, so this is a VERY good deal.
ALSO, we have one Junior Suite for two available at a cost of $1,231.28 each.
The Morton Plant Bariatric Team will be onboard and throughout our week in the Eastern Caribbean, they will be conducting information sessions, presentations, and support group meetings. We have over 50 people in the WLS community booked, most of whom are from the OH forum!
If you are interested in either cabin, send me a PM, or you may email me at [email protected].
See you onboard!

Terri You are so sweet to post the available reservation. Boy do I sure wish I could go but that is when school is in session and I cannot take any vacation time during school days. I hope your friend finds a roomy and I am sure you are all going to have a blast of a good time. Maybe next time if you should ever go during a school vacation.
Good Luck!

Hi Marianne!
I would love to put a group together during school holidays - unfortunately the cruise lines KNOW when those holiday periods are, and subsequently jack up prices! Summer months and holidays such as Thanksgiving week, Christmas-New Years weeks, and Easter/Spring Breaks are all priced higher than at other times during the year.
My girls are grown and out of school, but I remember how it was, and if you are a teacher, your schedule is even further under a microscope! There HAS been quite a bit of interest expressed though for a cruise during these time-frames, so we may do a shorter, abbreviated version which will accommodate school schedules (the shorter cruises naturally cost less).
We ARE planning our 2008 Cruise to Lose already though, but it will also be scheduled for September of next year.
In the mean time, if we decide to add a summer Cruise to Lose to our event schedule, I will post information!
I REALLY hope someone is able to room with this lady. She was SO disappointed when she called to tell me this morning - she was just about in tears. I felt so badly for her, and I even had my eldest daughter check into getting the week off from work to room with her, but it was a "no-go".
Anyway, thanks for your response, and perhaps you'll be able to join us in the future!
