Need Info Re: Time Out
Hiya,
This new "Time Out" diet was for a specific patient with limited mobility, avoiding regain or needing to lose some regained weight (if I read correctly) and wasn't really intended for the general population. The thing is how ever we, in general, lose the weight, it's how we'll have to keep losing or keeping the weight off. I'd highly recommend discussing it with your own healthcare pro before starting something so very extreme. IF this is the diet I think it is that was posted by Patty B. she also advocated eating salads for vegetables in the diet (low starch). She also got her labs done during this diet. Sigh...
I know that plateau buster diet gets posted a lot, but you might not know that it was created as kind of a joke by a postop a long time ago. If you look at it closely, well...3 ounces of peanut butter 5 times in a day? Lord talk about high calorie and not a good source of protein to boot. or how about 15 ounces of eggs in a day? See what I mean? Ugh.
Anyway, that's just my two cents. Not putting either one 'down' persay, just offering a polite word of caution and concern as I see so many jumping on this newest craze.
Best of success to you!

P.S. Yes, I was correct, the Time Out was posted by Patty B. A diet created by her surgeon (Dr. Warnock) - customized specifically for her needs. She talks extensively about it here: http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/wls_grads/board_id,5491/ca t_id,5091/topic_id,3327265/a,messageboard/action,replies/#25 776580
